ZX10R front seat replacement? What other models use the 10R's seat?
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knew about the front seat on the 10R. Is it the same seat as the 636 or 6RR? Any ideas on how to find that out?
I am not sure how to check the part numbers on it to compare.
Thanks,
Rich

53066-0046-MA thats the part number for the 10R. The 636 & 6RR are close, part number: 53066-1073-MA

i'm pretty sure the 10 uses a completely new seat. for one thing, the narrowness at the rear of the tank is unique to that frame.

You still trying to figure out how to get the seat height lower, Rich?

Yep, my 6R, I had the seat shaved down and it worked out well. The turn around time was 3 weeks so I picked up a 99 6R seat to use while the orgiinal was being worked on.
I got another call for someone who wants my 00 6R. It makes me sad which is probably why I am not really budging on the price.
Its tough having short legs..
