Complaints on the RPM gauge
Can someone describe in more detail as to what they mean by the RPM gauge not being readable? Is it because the bright light flushes it out? Or does it simply not react fast enough compared to a analog tach? If it is the later, this why most PC gamers will not use LCD displays for games. Hard to play when the screen has ghost images all over it due to it not reacting fast enough.

I believe it's just like the one on the 03 6R/RR which I have.... The main problem probably has to with the color of the bar in daylight...and because of the way it works....it works fine it's just harder to look down and find out where your at in RPM range then a Analog one. I personnaly haven't had "major" problems finding the RPM range by glancing down....but I do have to take that extra second to locate the black bar....

It's just easier to instantly notice RPM on analog tach. Digital one takes some time to get used to it. Use shift light.

its not ergonomically friendly to your eyes and your brain for quick visual data acquisition on the street, and this goes for Kawasaki's and every manufacturer who chooses to equip their STREETS BIKES with these things imho...give us A LARGE ANALOG TACH, A BRIGHT PROGRAMMABLE SHIFT LIGHT, A LARGE CHARACTER DIGITAL SPEEDO that's easily removed for track days and racers amongst us....they have the technology, they can do it....well, at least the 10R has a digital speedo readout

why waste your time looking at the tach? just ride the dam thing, the rev limiter will take care of the rest.
