No ZX-10Rs in Phoenix Yet...
Kelly's said "Any day now".
Metro Kawasaki said "Next month"
And, my money is burning a hole in my checkbook...
I've been waiting for 8 months without a bike. My patience is fraying... this is starting to actually hurt me...

I just got off the phone with my dealer. KMC has not released the California models - ( think this means AZ, CA, OR, maybe NV & UT) yet, but have released the first 1 to all other states's dealers.
We're not sure if the first 1 comes in this weekend or next week. I'm #2 on the list, the good news is #1 wants an ORANGE one, and I will take Blue or Black, so I have a 50% chance of getting a 10R soon.
I have an overseas trip next week that I wish I didn't have to go on - with my luck the bike will come in Monday, and I will have to wait until Friday, while every teenage dreamer climbs on and drools over my bike...

Phoenix International Motorsports does not have any yet....that is where I was talking about in my other post--I am #1 over there for a black one...just went and saw them today...Peter is the owner and he is a good guy. I think I'm the only one on the list now--not sure but I think that is what they said. He said that he "ordered" 3 black ones..but like everywhere else he is just expecting 1 for now...but you never know...give him a call. The website is www.phxmotorsports.com and they are on 7th St. They sell Ducs also... There is also Apache on Camelback Rd...
Oh and BBB from the busa board must be seeing things  I know him...I'll have to ask him where he has seen this bike
Oh and I'm hearing it's going to be next week..but more then likely the 20th...and yes the West coast is getting them last... You know since Japan is closer to Florida

I have first choice on a black one in LHC, but I just bought the R1 from the same kaw/ yam dealer.... I may just kick my own ass.
I still have an outside shot on adding the 10r.
In Az, we get the cali versions of Kaws (mostly) We will have to wait with the cal deliveries. The sendout is from the east to the west. The round 1 crap..
My yam is the 49 state.
Which one should I sell?

Hey is that Lake Havasu? I was talking to Walt's Kawasaki up there and he said that a person had a black one reserved but decided to get a R1 instead...so he gave me that spot...then later said..He still wants one so I will have to fall under him and another person...which means 2nd or 3rd round
Is that you ?? Just trying to figure out LHC...

I guess that it is guys like us that keep the prices high....
I waited on my 1st and 2nd zx12's here in LHC, and saved about $1500.00.
That was what sold me (I already had my busa) I was one of the few sportbike guys in Havasu, a lot of his sportbikes ended up as dealer trades.
I don't think that the 10's will be sitting too long (maybe the orange ones)

Ha! that's cool...It should have been well he's buying a R1 and a 10R I guess....must be nice...believe me if I had the money...
Yeah, the other guy who has a black one reserved is a buddy of mine from Cali... I'm cool though I have 2 places over here that I'm #1 on the list and another in Cali... It's crazy how if you buy a bike out of state the tax is cheaper... 8.1 if you buy it from a dealer here.... 5.6 if you get it from out of state and register directly at DMV. I'll have to see what happens... I have a decent deal at Phx Int Motorsports....they are good people down there...but a Kawi Dealer in Cali (good friend) is also offering a pretty good deal...that will be worth the trip if it all works out.
Anyways....damn it's a small world!! Are you in Phoenix or from LH?

I have lived in LHC since about 86?
Do you visit the azbusas.com site?
btw-I bought my mille from out of state with no sales taxs, the MVD collected the taxes, THEN warned me the the city would be sending me a another tax bill and they did.

Hmm...Yeah I've been to azbusas..I'm also on there. I ride with a bunch of guys from Phoenix Sportsbike Club... I got stationed here in November (Luke AFB). Anyways, explain the tax thing to me... If I'm understanding you--your saying that you bought a bike out of state...then registered at AZ MVD and paid the tax and then you got taxed again from wherever you bought it from?? Please explain this to me....thanks. Oh and the VLT (or something like that) I get waived since I'm military...

I have bought 2 bikes from out of State;
On one I payed the state SALES tax in Nevada, so the MVD said "as long as you paid tax somewhere" I actually took delivery in Nevada.
The other one, was basically an internet purchase, so there were no taxes paid, so the MVD collected the SALES TAX, then LHC wanted their SALES TAX.
Plus the usual MVD registration fees.

Hmmm...when I called MVD they said I would just have to pay the 5.6 and I would be able to register the bike...... We will have to see.

that 5.6 is probably correct, then. if that is the sales tax that you paid at the dealer.
Some dealers only sell their bikes with the sales tax, because the out of state sales is not an issue worth dealing with. Some won't even ship.
The dealers that go for out of state sales, make their OTD prices seem lower, because they do not add sales tax to out of state customers.
I guess that some cities are different, but my city tax was only about $200.00

Best deal I ever got was when I bought my canadian bike. Paid GST coming across the border, WA MVD only charged me difference between sales tax and GST, and I got the GST back with a form that I picked up at the border.
