I'm getting excited - it's tough to wait

I haven't felt like this about something since I was a teenager.

I've been bike-less for 6 months for the first time in 23 years.

KHI, hurry and get me my 10R into the showroom...

I'm trying to fill in the long, anticipation-soaked hours with spec-ing out new leathers, but its a poor substitute.

Lord, give me patience, and give it to me NOW!

Yep, feeling the same way over here. I Sold the big Gix about 6 months ago, and although I've gone similar lengths of bikelessness over the past 17 years of sportbikes, this one is especially tough. Plus, it will be the first time that I go to Daytona w/o a bike in 10 years (although I'll be riding my GF's CBR600RR w/ her on the back).

The anticipation is huge for me this time because I love Kawi's. The hype has also been monumental (very close to when the '98 R1 came out). It's been very hard to sit tight while watching other '04's come out (R1, and now I hear the '04 Gix 750 is coming next week - which was a toss up for me between the ZX).

But, I'll sit patiently and wait for what I really want. I've jumped early before and I learned my lesson the hard way (I ended up with a leftover '95 CBR900RR when I gave up waiting on the '96 Gix 750). I still kick myself for not waiting that time around.
