2076 views in just two days. I'm guessing (and I'm only guessing) alot of them were R1, GSXR1000 and CBR1000 fans who are curious (nervious) about the new 10r. It looks like Kawasaki is BACK

red........here's the road trip in a nutshell......... I-5 south to Ortega Highway...stopped just beyond the waterfalls..turned around came back...stopped at the candy store..turned around went back(weeee funn).."kbryant was slow"......went up to the Lookout Roadhouse, stopped, looked out at Lake Elsinore, went down the back side to Elsinore....out to I-15 north to 91 east to 60 east...gassed up in Moreno Valley.....back on the 60 east to Gilman Hotsprings road to the 79 east to 74 east....stopped at the Idylwyld splitt (Kerry got cold,"and slow)LMAO.....continued east on the 74 toward Palm desert....got really cold and rainy....stopped at the SugarLoaf Cafe so Kerry could warm up and we could eat and dry off a little bit.......the rain never stopped like I'd hoped...we continued on down the 74 into Palm desert where it warmed up for a little bit (Kerry got warmer)...gassed up, got on I-10 west...headed for KMC...still pissin down rain......I think red and everyone else can remember everything from here.

GOD DAMN IT, I must have missed you guys by mere hours.. I think? It was saturday me and a buddy were on 74 for like 6 hours. We rode in rain all the way there, and rode in rain all the way back. But 74 was perferect overcast not raining weather. GOD i'd have given my left nut to see you guys there. And maybe even scrape a few on my poor little 636.

What a fucking blast... SoCal is fucking Mecca for Motorcycles...Great roads that are actually accessible... Cages that actually notice that bikes exist...Ah well, maybe in another life. I'll have to just enjoy my four month riding season up here in the Pacific Northwest a little longer. There's a remote chance that ISC (Int'l Speedway Corp) is going to build a race complex in my neck of the woods. If that happens, then tracks days will be a short drive away, vice the 60,130 or 320 miles they are now...

If you think that's a mecca(been there for about 5 years when I was stationed in San Diego, went up there all the time) then hop on a plane and come over to Sicily. The weather is great and there really isn't any speed limits, and as it happens I have a bike that you could borrow. The offer is open to anybody that wants to have a great time, and see Sicily. Oh, and as far as tracks go, we have 2 of them. It only cost about 80 Euro (90 bucks) for the whole day, and if that isn't open then we have 2 go-kart tracks that are about 1.4 km long that we put the bikes on for 25 Euro(30 bucks). So come 1 come all and enjoy.

Not a single wheelie pic in the bunch....LOL

...trust me, there were wheelies...uh not by me, of course, but I seen the rolling wheelies with my own eyes because after redelk left, I was the slowest rider in the group and I got to see a lot of neat stuff from the back...however, we were under strict orders to bring the bikes back in one piece and I'm almost sure that Kawasaki had their black-ops helicopter following and surveiling us with their eye in the sky...you want wheelies?....dude, get the 10R and wheelie at will!

...being an admitted dyed-in-green Kawasaki fan, some of you might think that my positive review of the 10R is due to my blind lust for all things quick, fast, and Kawasaki...uh to a certain extent, but I can also appreciate the fine efforts of the other makes out there (like the R1's gages ...and I used to own an '89 FZR1000)...I dunno what or how the CBR, GSXR, or R1 will feel like when compared to the 10R, I'll try to get those test rides in if there's a dealer willing to let me take the bikes out without some geek salesman being patronizing about the request (yeah, I know FAT CHANCE BUDDY)...maybe the reps of Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha could invite us to a 'common man' demo-ride of their own...still, if you want a sexy scythe of a sportbike suitable for road and track, you can't go wrong with the 10R...as some have said here: "Get your order in now!"

Oh you rotten sons-o-bitches.... XL - it's all your fault. I didn't see you forcing me to wear that hand-me-down raingear. You knew exactly what would happen didn't you? I only knew about Ortega. You knew the rest of the ride. Yes, you had it all planned out. Bad weather, roads only you knew about. Even those rivers we crossed were planned. Yes, I see how it is... You tried to break me. Ha, it didn't work (but you got pretty close...). You guys get back at Papa Smurf when he's down and he's defense-less. You should be ashamed. I'll see ya on the streets...

It's funny, the rep for my area still says that the 10R is not going to arrive state side for another month or so. He goes as far as saying that there are none in the country regardless of what was said and the photographs taken. Can we say COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS???

...yeah...all expertly photo-shopped and the little green men in silver suits inserted little green pills through our belly buttons and we all had the same fantastic dream...'cept somma dem' guys on the first day had wet dreams ....I don't know many Kawasaki has floating around anywhere in their demo fleet, but we were definitely riding on some 10Rs on good ole' U S of A SoCal pavement!...and I'm still amazed about being invited....this is defintely up there with the back seat jet fighter trainer ride I had a few years back as far as my woody quotient is concerned ...dunno maybe your dealer meant none in the country for sale to rabid consumers yet?

Yummy blue Y bike here now. Just sampled for a quick 3 mile loop. Quick evaluation; not as good as the green bike. But yummy just the same. Will report more after the pump test for baseline.
