...hey, 'they' called me and I didn't even know the secret handshake!  ...so any review/opinion you hear from me truly comes from 'the man on the street'...or your typical STREET rider with your typical sportbike experience...

I was blindfolded when they gave out the secret handshake so I only know what it feels like ...but seriously, the 10R is one serious bike... seriously easy to ride IF you respect what it can do ...and I imagine (from the limited seat time I had) a seriously fast and quick bike if you have some serious creds and experience to extract its awesome power ...I rode it conservatively cuz' it wasn't my bike ...I'll be happy to report how serious it gets when I get my own bike

I just talked to my dealer at 2.24 EST. He's ordered 10 and they are due in at the first of next week. They are all SOLD.

NO SIR, I would not lie to you. I of those are mine, and i really have been bugging the HELL out of Matt, about when they were going to be here. He and I were discussing the tranny problem yesterday and he said that was all worked out. Then just a few minutes ago the phone rang, and he gave me the GOOD news.

From where did his information originate? The order desk at KMC perhaps?
This does sound accurate given the UK and HI information that is starting to leak around. Moreover, if the bikes were all held up for tranny work, it makes no sense that the UK gets their bikes before us. The U.S. is closer to Japan for shipping purposes and we are the largest market.
Obviously I could be way wrong here, but my gut tells me that the bikes will show up as a surprise to everyone very soon.

XL, I've been waiting for this bike for more than 10 years.
I was the first on the block with a '91 ZX-7, and then in '93 I traveled to Canada to pick up one of their 21 ZX-7R's (the real R - alum tank, close ratio tranny, fully adjustable suspension, flat slides, etc.) because the 50 here in the U.S. were all spoken for by Muzzy and a few other race teams.
After selling the 7R in '95, Kawi kept promising a new, revamped 7 just about every year. I remember dealers being told that something secret was on the way. That the new bike would blow everyone away. Well, of course, it never happened. I've since moved on to Hon CBR900RR's, Yam R1's, and most recently, Gix 1K's. Oh, and now a CBR600RR for the track.
My mouth has been watering ever since the 10 was announced, but I will admit that I've held off on committing a deposit until I could be assured that Kawi has finally come through. It sounds like reality though, and I am currently working with dealers to establish my spot in line.

Hey I recognize some of those places................ Is that one shot with all the big rocks a place called "The Lookout Roadhouse"? Looking over Lake Elsinore??? If so what is it called now? I haven't been there in 4 years!
