Just landed. Too tired to go into the details, but I would like to thank extremelean, KMC media relations and everyone else at KMC for the wonderful time and great memories. It was an honor to be there.

I'll post all about the trip and ride after I go home and get some rest. I will say this... a very small group of us took 5 ZX-10R for some "REAL WORLD" riding on the highways of Orange County, CA. No closed course stuff. BTW - the did have the Dunlop 218 tires.

You know what???? I'm about to shit all over myself, I called some chick at the KHI number and she told me that the bikes wouldn't hit the shores until mid April and now you tell me that they are there. LOOK I'm in service stationed overseas, and you know how us military types can be I just might snap unless someone tells me the damn truth(LOL). Please don't play with my mind like this I don't think I can take it. I definitely agree with the kid on x-mas thing. I just want to know so that I know about how long I have to wait for it to come to the dealer and to be sent to me over here. I know what you're all saying, blah, blah, blah. Enough talking just send it to me. XL, KB, somebody you got an extra straight jacket I could borrow until the bike gets over here.

Imagine: The power delivery of a 12R in the size and lightness of a 6RR...

Comparison: I 'will' my 12R into turns with some physical effort...I 'think' the 10R into turns just by looking where I want to go...it made me feel as though I acquired new-found cornering skills in my sport-riding abilities...

Ergos: Not too bad or tight for my 6'1"/230lb mass with fore/aft room to spare on the seat...I really like the seat...speedo/tach not to my liking for the street, but all you track junkies and racers could care less what I think about that...

Also: Rode the mind probing Vulcan 2000 after I rode the MeanStreak...can you say MASSIVE TORQUE?...in any gear?....I knew you could...ride the 2000 the way it was intended be ridden and all is very, very good indeed...very nice fit and finish, with steel fenders even!...and the MeanStreak is a very cool hotrod of a bike, too...very pleasing to the eye and a great runner, easy to ride...

Conclusion: I get all nipply just reliving the experience in my head...I would actually replace my 12R with a 10R, but I'm going to keep the 12R for long trips, and eventually get a 10R quick trips..I'm also in the market for a power cruiser and the Vulcan 2000 is definitely in the running for my money...its a substantial, but fortunately it 'disappears' (in more ways than one!) once you get it going...one more time: TORQUE RULES!

A great big THANK YOU!!! to all at KMC for an opportunity of a lifetime...call me anytime

somebody else has ridden it as well and he said that he had no problems with the shifter clutch or not. I guess he was with you guys XL,KB,and the like. He's from OK and I guess he's 6'5 and 250, he said there wasn't any comfort issues either. Please say I can get mine soon.

JB, if there was something wrong with the tranny, I guess it's fixed now. I know there were a couple in our small group that would have found one if any of the bikes had a problem.

I don't count myself in that pair, but I will say that I didn't use the clutch once for any upshifting during the whole ride and really didn't notice any glitches.

1bad7, the guy from OK was with the "paper boys". He didn't ride with us. Our Sunday ride was XL, KB, Fish, Swft and me bringing up the distant rear. At least on the 10R, that "distant rear" wasn't a "VERY distant rear". If I was on my 12R, I wouldn't even be in the same zip code.

MadMike...the way I see it, even though you feel as though you're way over the front axles as compared to the 12R, it'll probably need a long arm or wheelie bars to keep the front end down it you launch it hard and with extreme prejudice...or be judicious with your stock arm launch technique...no, I didn't launch it that hard (cuz' I dunno how to wheelie or control a wheelie), but I can tell you that it'll loft the front end while you're rolling very easily if you're ham-fisted on the gas or like to wheelie...the power and acceleration is incredible, especially the hit at the top...I think HOLYKAW!!!!

...also, no tranny problems on my ride and the back-torque limiter felt seamless

Thanks redelk, You guys are now gods. I just want to see the pics now if you don't mind. Being stationed over here we are the last to see or touch anything little lone a test ride on one, so please put up the pics and tell me I don't have too long to wait before I get mine(better yet my dealer so he can get it to me).
