Gee, more trivia, I like this game. I think the Bushwacker was one of Kaw's first 175cc "trail" bikes. As a coincidence, I also owned the G3 (1969) with the low pipe, which I put a pair of drag bars on and had instant cafe' racer (or so I thought)

It was a '69 Bridgestone 100 TMX. Same folks that make the tires.

The G3 with the low pipes was called a G3SS (super sport?). Funny, but the G3SS was a 90cc bike, its brother, the G3TR was 100cc. And then there was the fire breathing "Junior Green Streak". Who knows what that is?
The Bushwacker was a rotary valve "enduro" street/trail model that would eat a DT-1 Yamaha in a straight line. It wasn't the best handling bike around. But it was exciting.... Just stick to straight line riding with few bumps.

Not trying to discuss the history of Kawasaki in detail, but was the Green Streak the first model to ever have the now signature lime green paint color ? The A1R's & A7R's showed up in green at Daytona in 1969 after having the Samauri Red in 68 but I think the 100cc Jr came before that.

I would think the CA models take longer to trickle in, because of the evap cannisters, etc.

The Z1 900 was sweet as was the 900LTD, I also thought the 1000LTD and Z1 Classic were nice bikes as well. I tried to get my dad to co-sign for a ELR, but couldn't convince him too help out. So, I waited and bought a '82 Zuk GS1100E, my first bike. I thought the motor was fairly strong in the lower end with the ball bearing crank and all, there were top end oiling issues that surfaced as well and the glass clutch basket it came equipped with. I find it hard to believe that the good 600's of today make more HP that my old GS-E did.

I knew a guy named Tommy French that owned an 1150E. I had my Ninja 900 at the time. Talk about really different bikes! We swapped and his felt really tall compared to the Ninja.

Yeah, I felt the same thing, the GS did feel a little taller than the 900 now that you mention it. I had an FJ1100 when the 900 came out, I do miss the GS and FJ a lot. Good bikes they were. The 900 wasn't a bad one either. Do you remember the V65 Magna and Sabre?
