$400k Trailer, Daytona, & XL is @ fault.

Helping finish off the new Honda transporter for Daytona (they actually have 4 of them). Man the thing has it all, but it's amazing how many little details are still left to do & pack. Man, we're leaving for Daytona in a few more weeks. Not gettin enough sleep... Need some relief...

XL - Look man. I've been smelling the nasty VP stuff all day today and got unotainable roadrace bikes all around me. I'm a little punchie. I need my 10 bad man, really bad. Track day later this month at Fontana. Can't see myself riding anything else in the stable but the 10. Oh wait! See, that's a problem! I don't have my 10 yet do I? How do you feel about that? You know it's all your fault.

Oh by the way. I hope you feel real good about yourself that I had to put new tires on the 1000rr before I returned it... See, if I had the 10, the Honda would have been returned much sooner. You rotten son-of-..............

I remember when we did the graphics on Charles Morgan's Acxiom IMSA trailer. It was kinda "spartan" in the "lounge area", but that two car hauler (stacked), carried about every part and tool imaginable. Including a lil' 10KW generator and a TIG welder. Everything had it's VERY SPECIFIC place and if it wasn't where it was supposed to be, it was somebody's ass (and their job - fired on the spot).

Though going to races might be fun, getting ready to go (always forgetting something) and unpacking when you get back (wondering why you carried so much useless shit)... SUCKS!

Folks have always wondered why I always carried so much shit when I went to races or the a DG event. It boils down to, "If you didn't bring it... you'll need it.". Sounds silly, but when one gets to the level of a true factory team, it's kinda like CM and Axiom. There is no room or excuse for mistakes. Not by anyone!

The scootin' around on the 1000RR sounds like it would be a blast, but I'd gladly forego the tire munching, if I also had to prepare one (or FOUR) race trailers in exchange. Now if I got to ride the RR, had to help with the trailer(s) AND got PAID for it too.... now, that's different.

Like freek said.... "damn, life is tough, eh kerry?"

Amen brother red...

Oh, and paid for it? Salaried guys like me only look good on paper. Remember, we start losing money after 40 hours..... But hey, I do it for the love of the sport.

Freek - Only riding I get to do on them is on the dyno. They know better than to release me on pavement. They'd tempt me out of "retirement"....

Heh, EL, you should try running a GSXR1000 for a few hours on a dyno with that crap. I came out of there looking like I was hiding out in Auschwitz...

Ok thanx XL - I'll be in Daytona all week. Although I have to primarily fly red during the week, I'll slip on a disguise and meet you at the Kawasaki tent. Then we can take a couple of the 10's out for a putt. Right? Hey, hook a brother up! Buddy.......

Hey Fish! - Ya ever raced a lawnmower? A pipe makes all the difference. If it's got a motor, it's need to be modified and raced!
