It is not as good as leather. But it does work "ok". I've seen plenty of crashes in them. I believe they are still approved for Track Days. Don't exactly know anymore how racing organizations view them. But in days past, they were approved.

I believe that they are only being sold in Europe for now....UK onlines have them....look here...
