Jim, PROSTAR DragRacing added a 1000ss class and I want to race that class!!!...Soo, that means I have to buy a ZX10!!!...Right now they are making the rules the same as 600ss which is no good for me...BUT, before I do I want to see in detail what the rules for the class will be...If they are allowing over bores then I wont buy a 10 because I am not puting a few Gs into it...
I cant afford to compete with the Big $$$ Teams!!!
I would never trade my 12s for a 10, I would add it to my collection though!!!...I prefer the big heavy bikes...

Remember when Rickey dragged the proto type 00 zx12, stock, lowered ran 9.50. But when he dragged one off the floor it went 10.03. He replyed this is not the same bike. We will have to see if the same happens again with the 10R!

Even so bossman, he told me in Atlanta that he ran a 9.11 on the 10 with no mods at all. Except for the clutch work. Stock wheel base not lowered..nothing. He also mentioned that his 1/8 time was 5.8. WOOOOO!! That's fast as hell for stock. With any rider.

Rickey ran 9.48 @ 152MPH on that 12R with MUZZY pipe and lowered, and that bike was not a restricted model. He has run consistent 9.50's on BONE stock 12R's

Did I mention that it's ironic how someone can simply make a statement and it's going to be fact to most people.... Ok forget it.....
Anyway, though I am not the drag race weenie that many of you are, am to understand that Rickey was almost 4/10ths quicker on a stock, shorter wheelbase, modified clutch (but it's stock right.............)10, than he was on a 12R with Muzzy pipe, lowered, longer wheelbase? How is this possible and/or is this indeed another "myth" (concerning the 10) awaiting confirmation?
XL - somebody playing with the numbers (in the lights or engine.....)??

The bike Rickey ran that on in Gainesville Florida was a stock motor, stock wheelbase.
It was lowered and the pipe was a design casting from Muzzy, it still had the jig holders on it, a very rough pipe from the outside but Rob Muzzy said it was the final design of the pipe they sold for 00-01 ZX12R
You may ask yourself how's does he know all this???
I personally installed the pipe on the bike myself!

Guys look at my ET/MPH below, I still need to be at one with my 12...I refuse to put any money into the motor because I want to know how fast the 12 will go...I still have more to learn!!!
I never thought that I would be able to go as fast as I do!!!...Guys we all can be fast, it just takes years to do it...

Eeeek who is this??? I may just have to buy a 10 if it is quicker than the 12 and handles. But I need to see one for real. Hey swft, I think I am going to buy a C6, never owned a red car before, so it is time. Anyway 400 hp and all the convienences is a good thing, anyway I am lost most of the time and it has an optional built in GPS.

TB, I am still up to my ears at work, so I still have little time to post. There is just a lag while I wait for some other people to get some code done. Eventually I will get some more time.
Although I got some new tires (Michelin Race H2s), and when I get time I will mount them, they say they are good for agressive street riding and will warm up, new fork seals because I have to weld up the holes that Race Tech had me drill in my dampning cyls. New plugs, and I am ready for next year. That is if I don't buy a 10.

I talked to the local dealer today he has 10, ZX10r on order 5 sold also he said the speedo only goes up to 180 but there are a extra 30 mph of marks that are not numbered and also there not saying how fast it will go.
Anyhow that's what the dealer told me true or not who knows until you see one.

Hey Ted, good seeing you! I saw the big data storage deal my company did with yours, way cool. Yah, I love my C5, really can't beat it for what you pay. GPS is nice, but I don't know if I would by a car for that. For $500, I bought a Garmin that utterly kicks ass:

Swft, thanks. I have had the C5 for a while now, and I like new cars. Haven't had a new vehicle since June. What deal was that? I am in charge of the technical end of our #1 project. I'm wondering if it is related, we are gearing up with a lot of equipment.

Data Storage - Network Appliance. Since I wasn't involved in the deal, didn't have the specifics, but I beleive it was on the order of 48TB or so.

Actually I read a few reviews of the ZX10R at Homestead that seveal bikes were having problems with their transmissions.
Continueing with the benchracing...
From 0-90 it's all ZX12R because of it's longer wheelbase and greater weight reduce the wheelie effect.
From 100- 180+ it's all ZX12R because of more hp and better aerodynamics.
From 90-100 it's all ZX10R, a whole 10 MPH!
And for future reference as stated above the ZX10 is dynoing at 150hp, same as the 2003 GSXR1000, 2004 R1, and a few short of the 2004 CBR1000RR.

Thanks extreme, well maybe. It will really have to be something to beat the 12 enough to make me buy one. Like I said I am up to my ears in work. But there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel.
