Just got back from our test at Fontana. Jeez. These have got to be the best Superbikes Honda has ever built. These things absolutely fly around the track. It was pretty windy out there today, so we did a lot of photo sessions to get those out of the way. Actually, the 600FX bike continues to come into it's own. With the 1000 wheels/brakes/slicks & forks on it, it goes around corners like a slot-car.

Daytona test next week. Then the guys are off to Japan to build the final race season bikes.

Jeez.....what a miserable life you lead.....must suck to have to work all of the time like that..

KB, I am always happy to hear your glowing reviews of the CBR1000RR. It helps me to have a better understanding how truly awesome the ZX10 is going to be.

The test rider for 2WF.com got to ride both bikes, one day apart. I take it that you haven't thrown a leg over the ZX10 yet.... If you read the 2WF.com reviews you can tell that he felt the CBR1000RR was a great motorcycle. Really a wonderful, near perfect motorcycle. Then if you read the ZX10 review, it is obvious that he has a whole lot more passion and excitement for the ZX10. It is easy to sense the difference in the tone of the two articles. I have no doubt which one he would buy. The red bike is a great bike, far better than anything that has been available before this year. But the ZX-10R seems to be all of that and more.

Geez, what a great time we live in. These are the good ol' days. Just think, the bikes we will be able to buy this year are going to be close to what was racing at the top pro levels just 2 years ago. I hope we are worthy.

Remember, the reviews on most of my info is about the raceteam bikes. But when I sampled the production bike which started this thread, yes, it's a awesome bike.

But remember, personally, I'm a Kawasaki diehard, who just happens to own and ride a lot of other flavors as well. I really can't remember the last time I sampled a modern era sportbike that was not really good. From 600 to open class. All of them are so good, it simply is up to the rider to make the difference on the street. I really seem to go about the same speed on all of them. At track days and/or when I'm testing at the track, that's when you can really seperate the good/better/best.

Now for your ZX10 comment. Remember, I'm buying one. But apparently the only person worthy (and selfish) enough to have sampled one is XL. I only got to ride the stinking Honda. I offered to share notes. But he played dumb. He truly bleeds green! Bless his evil little heart......
