Oh my - The Honda is sweet While I can't release intimate details, my, my, my,............. I know what all the pre-testing hype is all about. This thing is tits. We know what it's doing so far in Superbike form and it's easy to see watching it go around the race track with the other Superbikes. Nobody has seen it in Superstock form. When it shows up at Daytona under the Erion banner and/or others, it may roll off the semi as an overdog. As a streetbike, my god....
I'm still a kawboy personally. I hope the 10 is at least as good. Just have not got to sample that flavor yet.

That's because someone probably had it in their R&D department sampling it..... Not very nice about not sharing and having it at the show. Don't know who. Maybe it was XL. Ya know he's a pretty sneakie guy.... Always taking the 5th (or drinking the 5th) or what have you. Man, I thought those Honda guys were sneakie.... Yea, that's it. It was probably XL. He was probably out riding it on Ortega Hwy draggin knees, or running it on the dyno, or prototyping exhaust systems, or stuff like that. Yea, that sounds like something he'd probably do....

If XL was out "testing" the CBR, I hope he didn't get into a situation where he had to shut off while he was leaned into a turn. I heard that thing will just stand up and run wide and we may never hear from our beloved XL again.... That will be fun in the hands of us amatuers.

Hee, Hee, Hee,.... Yea it had to be him. I "heard" that it stands up when shutting down on the throttle. But it doesn't..... When you flick it, it flat gets it! And when you chop the throttle in a pucker situation, keeping pressure on the pegs & tank keep her tracking true to arc. It feels very similar to the 600RR & 954, only better. But oh man the brakes & power....
Oops hey sorry, it was almost like I was riding it, not XL. Sneakie bastad....

Remember, we're givers. By us sampling & evaluating, we're able to pass along "unbiased" opinions to ya-all. Hey, it's hard work! Somebody has got to sample to new stuff before you get your filthy throttle cable streching arms on them! Just think, as we're pushing the outer limits of the new stuff, we may very well get flicked off the thing doing so. Or is it "flipped" off......

ozzy - done. We're able to fit a long 18" muffler in there, so we could go to a slightly larger core (2.25"). Supersport Fender kit go rid of all the junk on the rear (just like 600rr). Can't show pics yet, but it looks and sounds bitchin! Also save about 7 lbs (stainless steel/carbon fiber), the full ti slip-on will save another 2 lbs or so. Not making a full system for street. The stock headpipes are designed well for the stock motor.

Went to the DC bike show this weekend, they had them all there. The ZX10R looks better in person, especially the black and blue models. Saw the new R1 there too, smokin'!!! The CBR1000 looks good too, but they wouldn't let you sit on it. Still think the CBR600RR looks better though.
Starboys, Las Vegas Extreme, Wink 1100 and other stunters were there too. Wink has a new bike roll cage that is pretty neat, heck the only way you could hurt the bike is to flip it over backward.
They even had the MotoGP Suzuki on display, man that thing is small.

No. It sounds better! The bigger displacement, headpipes, S-bend, gives a deeper sound. Core size and muffler length are similar. Ben really does rail out of Laguna's turn 11 on the FX6!

Unbiased? Let's see, Jardine does mostly work for - oh, I don't know...let's see...who could it be.....

I sample all flavors. Just so happens there are more Red bikes in the R&D department than blue, yellow, or especially green. As a matter of fact, the only "green" bikes currently there is my cosmic red metalic 12, Vulcan 1600, & Vulcan 2000. Ya know why that is? Because XL is hogging all the good green bikes!! He won't share like he's supposed too. %#@!*&$"^ son-of............... Of course I mean that with love & respect to my fellow industry brother........
The only things I'm biased about are 2 wheels & engines. Anything that has those components, count me in!!!!!

Just got back from our test at Fontana. Jeez. These have got to be the best Superbikes Honda has ever built. These things absolutely fly around the track. It was pretty windy out there today, so we did a lot of photo sessions to get those out of the way. Actually, the 600FX bike continues to come into it's own. With the 1000 wheels/brakes/slicks & forks on it, it goes around corners like a slot-car.
Daytona test next week. Then the guys are off to Japan to build the final race season bikes.
