Book your Laguna Seca camping now!

Camping for the MotoGP in Monterey, California is selling fast! Anyone who wants to join us camping at Laguna Seca for the MotoGP in the summer of 2005 must purchase tickets & camping on Fox Hill NOW and email their order number to us at webmaster@bikeland.org

Although our Bikeland package is not yet in place officially, SCRAMP (the group that handles camping at Laguna Seca) assures us that our needs are being met and is asking our members to purchase Fox Hill camping and provide us with their order # until SCRAMP has a chance to finalize the details on the Bikeland package. SCRAMP is requesting this as there is a very realistic concern of camping selling out by December of 2004. Please be assured that Bikeland members will have exclusive access to our camping area on top of Fox Hill. Anyone wishing to be part of the Bikeland event at MotoGP, must buy FOX HILL MOTORCYCLE CAMPING and race tickets and send us their order number ASAP.

We need this because we will have to send a list of everyone in our group to SCRAMP so they can arrange our special roped-off area at the top of Fox Hill. If you do not send us your order number you will not be able to access the Bikeland area.

Follow the link below and book now!

u can see the race from the hill for sure, at least in previous years (not sure if the layout will change for this year), but it's pretty far from the track. if u wanna get close to the action, u either gotta walk to a spot nearer the track (the corkscrew is a popular viewing spot) or get a grandstand seat. i would recommend bringing along a little am/fm radio with ear buds so u can listen to the commentators.

For sure bring a radio to hear the announcer. Top of the hill by the corkscrew is good for the action and good for your health.

On one side of the hill you're beside the corkscrew, best action on the track, then after the leaders or whoever have blasted through it, you and a few thousand others run like mad fools over the top to the other side and you can see 75% of the rest of the track....

Or you can pick out a spot at either and park it, I found the top of the hill overlooking most of the track to work good, with the occaional foray over the top to corkscrew. Although for this i would imagine they'd be parked mega people deep along the fence at the corkscrew.

Another good spot is on the outside of Rainnies (damm why can't I spell that right now, tres embarrassed) corner..

Thanks for pointing that out... for those that warent aware, Fox Hill is MOTORCYCLE ONLY camping, EXCEPT for unloading of vehicles... You can drive your car in and unload.. parking for cars is right at the base of Fox Hill, only 100 yards or so away... ... dont think that you cant camp on Fox Hill if you arent riding!

One thing I don't understand...

You created a news section for stuff like this...And then mirror this thread on every single board. Why not just direct everyone to the news forum as soon as they log in, since you would obviously want everyone to read this thread?
