Bergie and others, will a shinko "Last" longer than a MT MCR Drag tire? Is the Shinko a lower profile also? I want the tire that handle the most burn outs and has the flatest tire print without being (Completely) flat on the bottom!

The Shinko looks and acts like a regular tire on the street, but at the track will hook like a drag tire. It will out-last an MCR2 by 10x. The MCR2 is too soft for the street and will get chewed up quickly not to mention it's flat profile makes for weird handling. The Shinko handles like a regular 190 tire, it is round. To the untrained eye you can not tell it's a competition tire.

I am almost there with enough information! I did not ask about the MCR2, but the MCR"1"?? The harder one! I really understand the "Handling part" which already has me leaning that way (Shinko) but the wear part for the harder Mickey Thompson tire! My thought is with the high air pressure, that will round a MT Tire some and lose traction for the Shinko

Vincent I don't have the hp you do, nor do i run the top end thing as you. But I do a little street riding as well as some street racing. The Shinko is the way to go for me ! I've never had a tire hook on BOTH surfaces as well as the Shinko. I would atleast try it for the price.

Is this the Shinko tyre you guys are talking about?

FWIW... a road race tire like the Rennsport or Diablo Corsa.. would work just as well if not better than the Shinko for high speed riding. The road race tires tend to be abit taller in the center.. giving you some extra tire circumference.

I use the H2, yet it cost close to $200. How much is the shinko going for and is it worth it to change?

It's really only worth changing if you're posing or having a traction problem at the drag-strip. That's what makes the Schinko so great. Real good wear-ability on the road, yet heats up well and a slightly flatter profile for the dragstrip.

I've used the H2 and it takes too much to heat up at the track for me.
Good street tire though.....
