I did it 8 sec. club now

We went to a bike race this weekend here in Louisiana.
Brought 60in bike, Thought the air would be cool but it wasn't still in 80's.
Only made 4 passes all weekend, all but the first was in the 8's
9:02 out of the trailer,then it happened.
Only can find 2 time slips, I guess the others are in the trailer under tool box or something.
1:52 60ft
3:97 330
5:91 1/8 127.84mph
7:562 1000ft
8:964 @ 160.44 1/4

1:53 60ft
3:99 330
5:92 1/8 128.02
7:57 1000ft
8:98 @ 162.08 1/4

For those that don't know my set-up it's
1290, mild head work,Intake Cam on exhaust,Full hindle,billet clutch basket, stock clutch fibers and plates,no lock-up, lowered straped,
Bikes sets @ 60in. with the 2in. clearance.
That was my goal with this set-up.

Very nice!!! Congrats! Major accomplishment at 60" to break in the 8s!
With a 162 trap, I'd guess it's making in the +/- 255rwhp range..

Not sure I want to build something new for next year, Hell the stock 01 with Akro and lowered went 50's-60's(foot shifting) in the street class. Might build it up. Maybe a Hayabugla? Just bought a couple of acres and gonna be starting a very big project about the 1st of the year.

It's gonna be a 40 by 80 shop and House Combo.
Can't wait,been wanting to do this for years. I'm sure it will take up the pocket book and all of my free time.
If nothing else I'll be there on Ol'Faithfull.

I'd like to thank BERGIE, when I started this project, I spoke and asked him several questions about his combo, and he was very helpful.He Steered me in the right direction. I'd advise anyone builing a 12 to visit his sight,very helpful.
I don't post alot on this board, but it doesn't mean that I don't visit it almost every day.There lots of Info that would cost you serious money.

I hope my info, helps others.
