Need HD CLutch Springs Quick
Anyone know where I can get 3 ZX6 Clutch springs for my 12 in a few days? I have 3 in there and think maybe I better put in 3 more to take care of the extra power! I can get them from the Dealer, and pay as much for shipping as the springs, do you think Ron Ayers has them? if he does, then regular shipping will get them here by Wednesday!

According to some individuals (bergie) the schnitz HD springs are even better than the ZX6R springs. (thicker..stronger).
Can probably get those quickly.
However yes..ron ayers has them in stock.

Vincent,
If you're gonna spray, I'd prefer all 6 HD springs. I've got some extras (ZX12R, ZX6R, Schnitz & Muzzys) if you need them I'll bring 'um next week.
The pull will be a tad harder but if Turboblew can do it, I bet you can too!! LoL

Been using the 6 schnitz springs for 3years. The firmer feel is more what U expect a 160hp clutch to feel like. I change them once a year, just to keep fresh springs. I also changed my valve springs this year to freshen them up. I call this normal maintainance.....

Thanks, RA, I really understand exactly what you said! Plus, I have my lever all of the way to the hub to give me a longer lever pull! Since I only need to handle it at the start line, I Should (hope to be) fine!

I finally ended up using 3 schnitz and 3 Muzzys springs and no problem with clutch pull or slippage! Those things look like fork springs to me! Serious!

Vincent, the length of your clutch pull is not related to the amount of release. Consider this,,,,,The amount of movement the pressure plate needs to release the clutch pack is less than the amount of handle movement available. So you don't need much pressure plate release for the clutches to slip or release. That is why stronger springs and lockup clutches and stack height is an issue. Give yourself a little slack at the lever hub.
