Possible new spring solution (Not work safe)

Ok...so here is my latest idea. It would seem that the ZX6R springs cant hold the hp on spray....and I didnt feel like buying 6 MORE springs from schnitz...so I sat down and pulled out my old stockers...cut a few coils off either end....twisted the ZX6R springs onto the old springs..and VOILA.....dual springs (and a shot of this months playboy centerfold for you)

These things are so insanely hard to compress it isnt even funny...Im even contemplating on only using 3 instead of 6 to make sure I can actually pull the clutch in. Hopefully i wont break the puller shaft using this ....but it for DAMN sure better fix my slipping problem.

I took the plates out today....none were warped....but they were ALL a nice shade of blue/red/rainbow burnt looking...getting progressively worse as you got further into the clutch.

Anyway....results after tonights test ride

Yea..that didnt work for shit....when I finally got down to a compressible level...there were only 4 or 5 coils left on the stock spring....BOY was that lever hard to pull in...but It didnt bind

Anyway..ill eventually get it down to where it needs to be....I am however getting tired of pulling the clutch cover on and off

I'm surprised it didn't bind on ya.

dude, if you feel like letting go of $30 or so, I'm certain that Brocks clutch springs are very stiff. For exact numbers, just give'em a call.

Oh I dont mind buying them....I just didnt want to wait for something that I perhaps could make in the garage

Have other problems to deal with now...clutch springs are way down on the list
