The advertisement says ECTA rules require it but I don't see that listed in the rulebook? Anyone?

I sent a note to Lionel with the URL! If it is not required, then they are using the ECTA to sell something and should get a cut or cease! A lot of money for a valce cover!

I'd like to point out that although Vincent did a great job assembling his setup, he pretty much ended up with a slightly less sophisticated version of the Muz Stealth kit and spent just about the same amount of money, if not more when he's done. That is what we attempted to do with our kit- supply everything in one box with complete instructions so that you could have it done in an afternoon.
If you want to go with the Schnitz progressive controller and / or retard box later, there are plugs already there in the Stealth wiring harness. You just plug them in.
Our rather extensive testing shows that stock pistons will break at 50 hp and you'll likely start doing other damage at 100 hp.( Also, mrSantafe- The Stealth kit includes a 100% throttle micro switch in the wiring)
For those wanting a budget dry kit, you might want to look at our $399.95 dry kit.

Doug, I looked at your kit which is a Seriously good kit. The difference in what I did is I spent $1,000, but got 2 - 2.5 pound bottles (Extra $140) a second set of Spray nozzles with longer reach toward the middle of the air stream (Extra $140) and the Oil filled pressure gauge (Extra $50) So I spent $330 that I may have still spent on your set up which would put me at close to $1,500. As it was, to get working, I spent about $670.00 Also, "WHEN" I put in the Forged Pistons and do the valve work to run more NOS, my system already has a separate fuel pump which to my thinking may keep me from buying a larger fuel pump which cost ??
My thinking about HP and running the 60 HP NOS Jet is, my tank will not be hot and at full pressure and watching the exhaust gas temp to keep it under 1150 degrees (or plus 50 or less over the stock temps) hopefully will keep me from damaging my pistons. I also plan to run a #10 plug.
Muzzys has a lot of Knowledge about anything "Motorcycle" and I trust what they say. If I did not have the stacks designed for NOS Nozzles, most likely I would have gotten you kit. Now I am in my own learning process and just like you had an Oxygen Sensor on your bike at Bonneville to keep things under control. I am not controlling my system by the EGT, but at least I can keep an eye on it!

Don't speak too soon YCIS ,but just to be clear, I meant 50 hp dry. I'm sure 50 wet will work ok for quite a while.
Vincent, You've done a very nice job, no doubt about it. I was just pointing to the convenience/price equation.

I* keep forgetting that I have a lot more "Time" than Money and some people have more money than time, not to mention "SKILL" level (as in some people do not chnage their own oil and want "Turn Key" "Completely Sorted" "Work Perfectly" Immediately or I am going to post what a POS you make for People ) If I am not tinkering and tweeking, I am not happy! I would possibly even be more un-happy if it was perfect because #1, nothing to do #2, nothing to complain about

YC,
I'm amazed. You definitely have that thing sorted out. You gotta be adding fuel somewhere.

Just using the powercommander....+45 all the way from 7500 to redline...stock fuel pump.
If I break it...it obviously wasnt high performance enough....and thats just an excuse to rebuild it with MUCH cooler parts :P

Randall is getting me a set of JE Forged Pistons (Stock size) so I can run a lot more NOS next year. The only other thing in the combustion chamber is the valves. I do not want to run anything that will give excessive wear to the cams, but is there something I should do either to the springs, retainers, Keepers or valves to be safe at +150 HP??

Where can i get the steel nitrous lines like the the car guys use on intakes? Not the plastic lines nor the huge braided lines.
How hard are they to make-up, bends and ends if needed.
If the bear stacks are really an improvement, how can all this plumbing
not get in the way of performance?
Am i missing something?

can get braided lines on ebay...make sure you get teflon coated lines...I believe nitrous will eventually break down rubber.
if you dont find any on ebay....have a local shop (car/bike/machine/fitting shop) make you up a section of 4AN braided line...shouldnt cost more than 30 bucks or so depending on how long a line you want.

Thats hard line..not braided stainless....basically thin aluminum or stainless steel (depending on what you get)...same stuff used for brakelines...can pick it up in any autoparts store...make sure you get a brakeline bender tool or you are going to kick yourself
