(ET's posted!) Tonights Race-weather forecast. :)
Looks like it'll be 62 coolish degrees at 6:00pm tonight, dropping to maybe 58-59ish by 8pm and 9pm.
Humidity will probably start around 55%, rising slightly during race times.
Barometer is at 30.06 currently and seems to be rising a little.
Aside from the damn humidity, we seem to have a good night on our hands.
I've put my Schinko on in place of a worn, borrowed MCR2 and removed the air filters. Nutec is in too.
Gotta remember to bring the LAPTOP tonight too!!!

All in all, I'd say that tonight was pretty damn good, but I didn't hit my 9.29 goal. Just didn't get enough runs in.
Made 4 runs, but sadly the last one was a long wheelie. (me trying to hard)
Run #1 - off the trailer. Check out my soft 60'.
.579
1.645
4.137
6.159 122.58mph
9.426 148.95mph (Brock whooped my ass with an 8.94 big Bus)
Run #2 - tried launching more normal, ie. harder.
.818
1.609
4.093
6.108 122.66mph
9.348 148.95mph
Run #3 - trying to launch harder, move 1st/2nd shift point slightly higher to keep from hitting rev. limiter before traps.
.596
1.577
4.093
6.105 123.08mph
9.336 151.03mph
4th run was a looong wheelie in 1st gear, went 9.73...........
I really thought tonight was going to be the night. I can taste it though.
I didn't even get to hook up my laptop!! I need to run the bike WOT with the O2 sensor in place to see what my A/F ratio is in the cool night air.
Fun night though!
Buddy ran a street Mustang to a 10.17@131 on only his 4th pass ever in the car!! it's a blown 302, bored out to 306 I believe.
Damn car was awesome. His name is Sharad Raldiris, and he's aiming for those mustang classes. (that ET would put him in top 5 for sure)

BA,
Looks like you're the season winner again this year. We are going back in two weeks but Chad's gonna be practicing on the 600 and I'm riding the 12, don't look like he can put my bike in the 20's like we were hoping.....Now it's up to you!
The 1/8th mph between you two are the same @ 122-123, I'm trying to figure why his 1/4 mph is a tad higher.
When we went to Maxton I degreed the cams at 105/100 per Muzzy for top-end, maybe it helped here too even though the E.T.'s are comparable.
Good times and riding on your part for sure, keep us posted for any other races.

Thanks Dean!
Dan, maybe it is both the cams and rider weight? I'm about 140 nekkid, I thought he was a bit lighter.
you did say you were 16/44 gearing right?
The cams in my bike are untouched, as are the valves which could use some love I'm sure. (12k miles) I really need to get both done....
I have another trick or two if I need them.

Yeah....He weighs 120, same as I did... when I was 11 years old!
His shoulders are fairly narrow and it makes good for tucking in. Something we all picked up at Maxton was how important less drag helps out and at 150, it's gotta help.
I'm still using 16/44 and he was hitting the revlimiter at the 1/4 so he had to shift before the lights.
I was wanting to try a 43 but due to having RC wheels, I'd have to order a sprocket and we ran out of time. I don't know if it would have helped or not, we'll find out next Spring.
Good luck on the 20's, you CAN do it!
