anyone running 1 rotor up front ???
Just wanted to know if there was a pull to one side, or not. Thinking about doing it to my 12 for weight savings.

Seen it on a couple of bikes, but I ride more on the street where I need them both.

Al,
I see a lot of people doing it, but without wheelie bars, I keep thinking that you're taking the weight off the wrong part of the bike. Wouldn't you want the extra weight on the front of the bike?
Just a thought. I don't have a clue about non-wheelie bar setups.

Not worth the weight savings. An aluminum sprocket and lightened rear rotor would give you more performance.

I only have one on the front of my ZX11,
but it rarely see's 140 mph & it's on a bar.
I've seen 60" guys put two on for weight.

Here's the reason I was thinking about the weight on the front wheel being necessary without bars:
I got this here:
http://www.schnitzracing.com/new0.htm
Wheel Weight's for RC Wheels
The secret is out. Lower your 60 and 330 foot times, shorten your delay time and increase your NOS percentage on your controllers for better ET,s. Wheel weights are being offered in 6 and 8 inch sizes. Weights are now being made for bikes in the 60 inch Pro Sport Bike class and Outlaw Pro Street . Any bike will benefit from this best kept secret. Next time you are at the track look at the big boys (Rickey Gadson , Brad Mummert, and others) are using them to get the advantage. If you are strapping 50 ,60,70 pounds to your frame rails, then you can get more out of the 6"18lb pound wheel weighs.

Yes... but look at who they mention. Those guys have well over 350hp and chassis setup is very important. Especially when they are looking for hundreths.
Ive seen a SBS bike with over 40lbs of ballast over the front wheel. Dont wanna give away trade secrets... but moozy around the pits at the next Prostar race and you'll see what Im talking about.

I took mine off the front but it is more for cosmetics then anything else... I like showing off my RC Talledegas...., and I have looked at that set up from schnitz... and do you really want to Add Rotating mass to your wheels??? I dont for sure..

Back in the "Day" I went to the Scuba Diving shop and got 2 - 10 pound belt weights and using hose clamps strapped them to the fork legs on my H-1 500! You want to talk about a "Wheelie" Prone machine! Me and Mad Mike could sit on the front fender and when it hits 6,000 the wheel is going in the air! You would be surprized at hom much help 20 pounds was on the front end! Maybe 2 - 15 pound Belt weights but on the fork is bad enough I cannot imagine on the wheel!

Well for starters... you could fill the front axle with lead... or make a mount for those old wieder 20lb weights you have lying around the garage...

Well, not actually the axle, but there is space in the hub for MORE than 20lb of lead. Just heat the lead to liquid and pour it in the 1/2" hole that Kawasaki has already provided. Easy and hidden...
N/J, I have seen one bike (well known to this forum) set up that way.

At Rickey Gatson school that was one of the things that he brought up was putting weight on the front of the bike. Filling the front axel with lead will add 1.5 pounds. Star racing filled theres with spent uranium and it was good for about 5 pounds...
