G'ville TNT
I finally got back to the track last night, with the new ZRX motor. As it is now, it has a stock head, ZX11 cams, Mikuni RS40s, 2mm over (1109cc) 12:1 Wiseco pistons, Carrillo rods, stock crank, a ZX11 6-speed, and a Muzzy sidewinder pipe. The cams are set at 103/105, timing at 35 degrees. The bike is 6-over, 64" long, with a lockup and a shootout tire. Total weight about 675lbs. In 4 passes I ran a 10.07 @ 136, a 9.96 @ 136, a 9.91 @ 135, and a 9.91 @ 135.

I need to change my gearing from 17/47 to 16/47, so I can get into 5th gear. Last night I was hitting the limiter right before the line in 4th. But I was happy to be back in the nines anyway, although I was expecting more MPH. At this speed I'm only making 132hp :/ Maybe bad air.

Sorry I didnt make it...I didnt get out of work till after 630 anyway.
I read that a buddy of mine threw the balancer off his car during a pass and it shot down the track into EACH wall :o Sorry I missed that

Geez, more mph? Doesn't sound too bad to me. Good weather is just around the corner though. My best ever on my 1109 was 137 in killer conditions. My best et is also a 9.91 with my monster motor at 139mph. I gotta learn how to ride.

Man those 2 passes seem about as consistent as 2 passes can be; you must have your procedure down to a science!

That makes me feel better Ken - actually a lot better. Don't BS me though- you can ride. Your bike is shorter, and weighs more too I bet.
Karl those two runs were unususally consistent - strange too, as I changed my shift point trying to keep from hitting the limiter. It is easier to ride now. I sure am looking forward to spraying it again.

It was cooler - maybe 72, and 70% humidity. Big relief for around here. Also I wasn't hitting the limiter or shifting before the line. Now for some clutch tweaks, and a new tire.
