TFA Racing Pictures

Bob Johnson is the official NHRA Division 7 photographer. I really have to say that he takes the pimpest dragracing pictures. The following pictures are the ones that I picked up from him this weekend at the race in Sacramento.

This one was taken at Sacramento over the weekend. I believe that it was the first round of qualifying. This is the only picture I have with my front wheel off the ground.

I came out of this round #2 out of 12 bikes with my 0.044 light. They didn't bust out with the LED's on the tree this weekend, and everyone's reaction times showed just how much they make a difference. An 0.044 light at any other race would have put me in the bottom half of the ladder.

This next picture was taken during the second round of qualifying. For some unknown reason, they started at 1pm so we didn't make our second pass until well after 8pm.

Notice the cool folds on my tire showing that I'm really hooking up. That's one of my favorite things about running in an NHRA division race. They really take the time to prep the track.

This last picture was taken at Sears Point about a month ago. This is the first round of eliminations. This turned out to be my first round win at an NHRA Division race.

Notice that both of my wheelie bars are on the ground at the same time? I finally cured my wobble at the launch. It turned out that wobble came from the fact that I was not picking up my feet at the same time.

Since I'm foot shifting, my mind focused on getting the left foot on the peg to shift and completely ignoring what was happening with the right. Once I made a conscious effort to pick up both feet at the same time, my wabbly launch problem went away.

eh, couple of em were ok. Most were from too far away, and out of focus, lol.

Usually the only one who can take a decent pic is yourself. However, I don't think the track officials would be cool about takin my own pic up there... dammit.

Next time I'll have Danny do it
