I'm going Dragracing.....About damn time!!
I went to the Doc - After 13 months of being sliced, diced and put back together a couple times.....I am finally healed enough to hit the track!!! Yeah! Baby! Yeah! Titanium rod and some hip bone did the trick!
If everything works out, I'll be at the track for the first time in a year on Friday Night!!! Hubby says that I am not going to get out of the 10's......I say that I am gonna smoke his butt!!! I mean....I was just broke for a year...I did not have amnesia .
I'll post some time slips....Now, I am realistic...I am sure that I will not crank out a 9.teen pass right out the gate but I am looking for some 9.60's by the end of the night.
I'm geeked.....Just thought I'd share the news.
Since I have not been able to race, I have been kind of a dead beat member here.....well, I'mmmm baaaccckkk!

Angie, have you just been out "Riding"?? Second question, Are you going to leave with your right foot covering the "Brake" pedal or the Left foot under the shift lever, or both feet off? At maxton the foot is under the shift lever. On the streets and I am doing wheelies, it is over the Brake lever!
Dear Daughter, Have you been doing any better??

Actually I was still in a removable cast on my right foot. I took it off and I made three passes on a friends bike at the track a couple months before I was supposed to only because of a bet. Some clown bet me $100 that I wouldn't go 9s within 3 passes after my wreck.
I didn't even have my bike or gear. Borrowed everything including a red ZX12R. 1st pass missed the 1-2 shift 10.20s, 2nd pass 10.01 @ 143 launching kinda easy. 3rd pass 9.97 @ 145.
Took my $$ and handed the bike back.
ZX12Girl in a couple passes you will be as good as new, just attack it like you used to... "dont be scared" racing
PS- be careful

Thanks Guys.
Vince,
Now Dad #2 - Do you think that I'd Break the Doc's wishes???? (LOL... Don't answer that).....I am doing great now....I went to the DR. and the bone has formed all the way around the brake area (about time). I have the go ahead from the Doc for a cane only. NO more crutches!!!
I have been riding my ZX12R for the past couple weeks and riding is back to normal for me. I am not sure how I will leave the line. I will probably not be able to break the habit of both feet to the back right away. I may try to leave with the foot on the brake side. I have an airshifter so I normally leave the feet totally off till 2nd gear.
RAC41T,
Thanks, That's very cool. I have been practice launching on the street to see if the accident has effected me (see if I was scared). That did not bother me but I wasn't sure how I will be at the track. I'll take that "Don't be scared" attitude and see what happens...

Nothing looks better than seeing Bone formed over 100% of the area Still needs to get harder, Denser and more of it, but "FINALLY" You are where you needed to be! With having an air shifter, I would really try to cover the brake pedal!
During a launch at Maxton, I had the surprise of my life. Geared 18 / 44, the bike stood up so fast that I was Surprized for the first time in my life! I can ride wheelies for days, but it happened soo fast that I let off like a Novice and then got back on it and it went straight up again! Which still stunned me but I controlled it better. Believe it or not, the very first thing I thought was, "Now" I know how Angie felt! Your reaction is slowed because it take time to get over the surprize! It is like you brain does o not work for a mili second and that also surprized you also! Am I getting closer to what happened??

ALL RIGHT!!!
Do you mean feet to back...NOT on pegs???
THAT is a VERY bad habbit...
IF the bike does something stoo-ped at high speed...your legs will fly around and make the situation WORSE so...PLEASE be careful if that's what you are doing (NOT saying I've never done it )...
Oh-ya...be careful anyway...even if I took your comment wrong

I have it on tape and it was more like 4 to 5 feet! even the second one was 2 feet. None of that mattered, because I was not expecting it with the taller gear! Stupid on my part!

I only leave my feet off the pegs until I push 2nd gear. My feet are always on the pegs after that.

Man , I really sucked!! LOL
Well, I made it to the track on Friday. LOL....:P:P
I really sucked!!!
Ran a couple passes on the Hayabusa -
1st pass after a year of crutches - 11.28 @ 141
LOL...I screwed everything up. I launched like a baby and then missed a shift, hit the rev limiter and shifted to early....all in the same run!!! LOL
2nd - 10.78 @ 146
3rd - 10.32 @ 147
Then I jumped on my ZX12R and wasn't much better -
1st - 10.52 @ 145
2nd - 10.34 @ 146
3rd - 10.25 @ 146
.6 reaction all night and I'm not even gonna post the sorry 60 ft's....:P:P
I only left around 3g to get used to the bike again....Just milking it out of the hole.....So, I really sucked but had a freaking blast and really glad to be back at it again!!!
I am going back on Friday....I'll get in the nine's at least next week!!

Angie, If you look at the times Dan's son ran on Mike's Bike, He was 1/2 second quicker at the end! AT the same rate, you would be right at the 9's with a few more runs! Chad Rides all of the time, so I think not bad! Next time you will start mid to low 10's and right away be in the 9's! No question! What did you do with your feet! Again, the Dad #2 question, how are you doing there??
