quote: The bike IS an 02...I would be VERY surprised if anyone could send me any "Magic Maps" though...
I have to disagree...even with Brock that any "one map" will cover/work better on several bikes than a custom map...
Hey Kev, I know that you are waaay busy, and probably are just lucky enough to have time to get in here and read and post, but, in the interest of keeping this thread honest, I had to reply to your comment above.
I re-read Brocks post and I don't believe he is saying that his map is perfect for all, nor that it is any better than a custom map. I think we all would agree that a dyno tuned bike combined with track testing is the best of both worlds and as close to a perfect map as you'd get.
I think Brock is only saying that for those who want a map that is 90% close right out of the box, he's got it.
It's a hell of a lot better than starting at 0!
It's certainly better than those standard Dynajet maps too!
As a little side note, his maps aren't just at 100% throttle either, they are throughout the range and incorporate some of the findings of the good folks on this board. Probably yourself included! (and ol' Cliff too)

I agree BA...dynojet maps don't work well at all for us here...Brock's maps ARE better for sure...
"Drive-ability"...is also what I meant...NOT just 100% throttle

Cliff Randall Gave me a good starting point, but his maps used too much fuel and on the "Dyno" would put a lot of that fuel into the oil. You could actually see the level rising. I am able to get close to 40 MPG while getting 183 HP and 101 pound feet of torque! 180 HP Best without stacks. I also found that a little more richer 12.8 to 12.9 to 1 made more "Torque" than 13.1 to 13.2 to 1 which made the best HP.

Yeah, I didn't ever get a whole map from Cliff, but he did give me the numbers for that darn abruptness from 2000-3000rpm.
I noticed a difference in street riding and at the Gap INSTANTLY with the change for that RPM range. Can you imagine trying to ride the gap without the fix for that range? Sheesh!
