393rwhp ZX12R
Well the local guy finally got a handle the Turbo ZX12R project after wasting a couple engines. Last summer I posted pics of it when it was only making mid-200s at the wheel. Since then he's got a new stock stroke billet crank, Carrillo rods, o-ring headgasket, head studs, much lower C/R forged slugs, custom base spacer, custom fueling including additional injectors and computer and it's finally panning out. Today is made 393rwhp @ 23psi and there is room to go. I can hardly wait to ride it at Maxton in September. Photos and dynochart on Tuesday when I get my camera back.

Damn...he must have a $20k tied up in engine parts alone...lol.
Where did he get the studs from? What kinda of rating is on the head studs? What hp did the stock ones fail at?
Interestingly enough..the Busa can hold up to 430hp on a stock motor.

Ape makes cylinder studs I know. I have them in my bike. Who else I dont know..

APE makes them for the Busa too, but they are far weaker than the stock Busa studs...so thats why I was asking.

I saw an article on a dyno shootout the other day. The winner was Stotz's old bike with a velocity system on it, I believe. They claim stock studs, rods and other thingys in the 500hp motor. Interesting.

Muzzy said their turbo 12 makes around 500 HP with stock crank and rods.
