finally broke down and made the 12 long

should of done this a long time ago instead of being stubborn.
went to maple grove friday night. ran a 9.42 80F weather. still
figuring out being able to come out with almost all it has.
it is so different. i am hoping i can get it down to a 1.45 60ft
with the stock engine. sofar it is looking like gearing my bike
to be a 6 speed will be needed.

Hi redrocket,

I agree with you about the gearing. I had to max out 6 gear to get the best 60 foot out of my stock motor 12 other words would be gutless. The best I got out of it was a 1.44 60 9.33 @ 144(7 over). Wish you luck and let us know how you do!

almost it was a frozen mudpuddle day. froze my ass off and it was spinning through the end some. that is why the mph is high. the pass before it was a 9.26@153. what a great air day it was. can't wait for it to be a 1300.

Redrocket,

My bike is 494 and total is 670 or so. (Never weighed my leathers but I'm 165 naked).

What is your best time/mph when stock wheel base as I'm thinking of putting a stock arm back on my 12

i agree mr NY.
joey i am not sure how fast it would of been. best it was was a 9.62 geared 16/42 i think with the rear axil all the way back but hight wise in the middle hole. it to me anyway was hairy to get the 9.62 et. slammed on the ground and short i still bet i could of gotten a high 9.5xxx. but not all the time. and then bust up the lowers riding it. naaaaa i will pass on it that low. i am going to raise the back up a little when i get some aluminum to make new links with the lower hole a tad higher.

and bike wise i think now a ecu tune has a hp advantage over a power commander tune

Hey Redrocket,

Pretty respectable times for a stock wheel base bike. How much have you done to the motor and what are you putting down? As far as being too low I understand as I lowered my bike extra to keep it down and unfortunately still wheelies and came down and cracked the back of my oil pan when shifting into second. That pass was actually against Tom Krause (ozone killer on the form and great guy) and didn't know was spewing oil till he told me. Since then I raised it back up. Live and learn!

Fyi my wife just said your form name is gross and funny lol!

it was 4" over motojet.
rick is better at the 60ft game than i am. i am better than average but my best 60ft in the middle hole was a 1.52 and that was not a easy repetable 60ft for me. after tshults crashlanded a wheelie and wrecked in his own oil i decided slower is better

this winter we shall see if i can get into the teens. i think yes.

i went out with the lockup setup to slip this friday night. it wheelied.
i never thought it would it got a 1.48 first try at 156lb of springs and two arms
and aluminum bolts. well i added .025 and ofcourse it comes in sooner.
dam it accelerated
hard on the back tire and had my oil light come on. i have a good idea on what to do to raise the enguagement rpm.
it was a lot of fun riding this thing wide open on the back tire.

what i lerned is to always make sure the red rocket is aimed strait down the track in the grove. cause i can't stear it on a wheelie. and i only lift when JESUS says to lift it seems.
