HD springs With Ti retainers???? need some input

OK guys got a problem here wanted some help? putting the finishing touches on the 1361 motor and the first set of Ti retainers were two diffrent styles? so I figured that was the problem. sent them back and recieved another set, put them all in and now it is crazy, or maybe I am. On the exhaust side I am (from #1-#4)
.006,.003.006,.006,.006,.005,.006, and .006 on my gap?
ok all to small but very fixable with new shims? ok now here is the weird part on the Intake side (#1-#4)
.000,.000,.000,.000,.000,.000,.006(in tol.),.000 ?????on the one that passed it looks like the cap is riding on the ti retainer? the shim looks like it is below the retainer?
OK now to go over the easy stuff, the cams are in correct and everything went together very easy,???? any help or input would be appreciated! oh couple of other things, did another set on a 1270 kit and No problems? direct swap? all the same gaps before and after. tonight I am going to put back in the stock springs and retainers and see where I end up? anyone have any suggestions????

I'm pretty pickee Mike...I make sure the same valves go back in the same hole that they came out of (for one thing) unless the head is getting a complete valve job...and even then I usually keep stuff in order...
I'm sure you got my phone message last night but...make sure the valves aren't worn where they seat...

This is a good lesson for you Mike...I know it takes "extra" time but...I will check things like valve clearances BEFORE I take a motor apart...just to make sure nothing is out of wack...
I DON'T LIKE SURPRISES (like this) when I'm putting the motor back together
Let me know what you figure out...call me again if I can help...

Yes, got it your message, tried calling you back but you must have been leaving the message for me. Yes I am/have been very anal about making sure that all of the springs and valves and everything is going back into the same hole. I dont know why I did not check the valve clearance before I took it apart? but i glanced at the valves and they looked fine before I put the springs in? I am going to work on it more this weekend! have poker tonight and helping my buddies race tommorow! so should be fun, planning on saturday night and sunday doing everything!
I will call you and let you know how it goes.
