Hell has frozen over!!
I noticed APE charged my debit card and called them to see if they had shipped it.It went out on the 23rd apr. They assured me last week they would call me but they didn't. I don't know why they took so long as I DIDN'T enclose a note asking for them to please take 3 fuckin months. I just hope it looks good as I will be one mad motherfucker if it doesn't. I think it will though.

I got my crank today. It looks good except they didn't knife edge or polish it. I am pretty disappointed that they didn't do all I asked them. I sent it to them on 2 jan and this is 1 may. I guess they don't want my buisness.I am going to call them to find out why they didn't knife edge and polish my crank. The finish where they lightened the throws is excellent.

Harry, what was the excuse (please no one take this as a racist insult) "The Wet backs that they had just imported could not read and artist that drew the pictures was off that day"?? APE Will not get my business
Entropy, I do not know how APE Handles their Business, but a lot of serious people (Muzzys I believe) use Falicone

I was told that muzzys uses MVR or someone in out in the northwest to do theirs. Not falicon.

I thought Muzzys uses someone out west also but...like lots of business they probly try various places...depending on quality and turn-around...
(example...the BigBlock we just got has MTC pisons...NOT...JE pistons like the other kits I have ordered from them)...

I forgot to call APE. All I could think of was loading up my bike and going to the dragstrip! I will call them monday.
APE's work is first rate. The boss is the only one who does the cranks from my understanding.They gave me a $50. discount so I am not complaining about the quality nor the price. Just that everything wasn't done that I wanted to get done.
I would rather wait a long time to get exceptional quality than to get it quicker with less quality.

I called them and they said my crank is knife edged and polished. They took as much weight as they can off it but the throws are not as knife edged as some other cranks I have seen ( NOT zx-12 cranks).I will post some pics of the crank as soon as I can get some pics of it.

No I don't bergie (good point) but I have another stock crank that I will weigh and check how much they took off.I won't do it until I get back from the gap trip though.

Harry, Suppose the cranks almost weigh the same? I would still take it by Falicon and have them take a look at it and see what they think (If the weight is similar!)
