And its done ....finally

Finished checking the valves....all were within spec...I was quite happy!

put the valvecover back on...removed all the plugs...held the throttle open and did yet another compression test. straight up 175psi across all 4 cyls!!!

Opened up the oil filter...no metal shavings...so I buttoned everything back up (cept the fairings)...and im headed to Kevins shop tomorrow morning for a dyno run or two to see if everything is still ok. (hopefully sometime after noon if you read this kev...Ill call you tomorrow).

Got ive been hankerin to ride for a month now...I cant wait!

WOW...I looked right at it and didn't realize it was CERAMIC!?!?!?

It was another tire spinning deal...tried strapping the swingarm down this time but it still spun pretty bad...241HP and 136lb...
We need to add some new tie-down points to the dyno...

Muhahahah...it lives!!!

Took it over to Stock Mild to wild for some dyno runs

Made two passes on motor (163 - 165hp i think..forgot to print out that sheet)...which is a tad less than it was making last time (168 - 170) but certainly proves there is no internal engine damage as originally expected.

With those first two runs and the bike running very well (I rode it about 75 miles before I got to the shop) we decided to spray

First run it just blistered the tire on the drum as soon as kevin tapped the button. So we went in and attached a few more straps to the bike and cinched it down with some comealong rachets.

Next run the tire still spun a good bit but made 235hp 136tq.

Kevin hopped off and tightened the bike even more (now 4 total straps tightened as much as possible to prevent tire slip) and ran it again....tire spun again but caught for a bit at around 9800rpm to read 241.6hp 136.1tq.

Needless to say I was quite happy with my non functioning dry shot

Didnt quite take your title dean...but the headgasket held....so thats gotta count for somethin

Very nice Brian - and if you were making that much at 9800, I think you would've been way over 250 at 11K. I'm guessing this is pump gas, but what pill and timing are you running?

Was pump gas that had been in the tank over a month too

Was still a 46 jet (same as last time)...I believe total timing retard is right around 5 degrees (given the advance set on the mech advancer..and the retard taken out by the schnitz box)

A/F got a bit lean for my tastes around 6500/7000...(at max it was 13.8:1) but I never spray that low and kevin started the nitrous way early I believe (around 6000). After peaking out there...from 8000 on it was a steady decline from mid 13:1 down to nearly 10:1 at 11k

I need to get the a/f chart from kevin to verify the rpm #s it was a bit lean and add a few more % points to the PC3R map if necessary.

I "might" be here tomorrow Brian...was going to work on Cindy's motor tonight...checking compression #s, balancing pistons, gapping rings...yada FREEKIN YADA but...since I was STILL HERE on the dyno at 11+PM!!! last night I just don't have enough reserve left

Anywhooo...as I said earlier...Henry was in one of his "don't tell/do anything for nothing$$$" modes today...I'll print the graph/s for you as soon as Ryan gets this hogly off the dyno...
Call me tomorrow (NOT BEFORE NOON!!!) if you are available to meet me somewhere for the A/F graphs...AND if I will be this far from home tomorrow...
If I had a bike (ZRX ) I'd meet you tonight somewhere...IF yer ridding tonight like I'll bet you will be...

By the way...once again...I think your bike runs like Dog Dookie ...drivability wise...SPECIALY in the "small throttle" ranges...

Dont sweat it Kev...I know you were busy...Im not in any hurry...so whenever is good for you. Ill give you a ring tomorrow afternoon.

The bike has always driven like ass down low....ive kinda gotten used to it after the past 2 years

When the muzzy pump goes in...Ill obviously have to see how the a/f looks with the added flow.

Ill be at CAW tonight ....but im sure you are sleepin by now

what dry shot are you using on this bike?..Sweet bike by the way. Im also a silver rider I think im ready to add some power to mine and start putting this MTC to use.

its a schnitz kit w/ a 46 pill. Timing retard provided by a schnitz EFIR box activated w/ the solenoid.

not very...I enjoy playing on the street(rollons) more than I like going to the track.

9.80@151 is my only run on spray at the track.
