Z,
Do you see the irony with your new signature and your last post here? On the one side you say "Youth is forever." On the other side, you act like an old guy who doesn't understand why kids would want to put style before function and wear their dirtbike pants over their boots.
You crack me up.

Yes I do! But let me remind you that while I act 16 years old, and play like a kid and do many crazy things, I limp like an old man, I have my own private room at my chiroprators clinic, and require large quanities of advil and other drugs to keep the old body moving!! I also own at last count 6 canes and three pairs of crutches!
And the last time I hecked Ben Bostrom claims to be mr. style and designs the color skemes etc. of his leathers etc. That all said his gear is funtional first!

You guys are missing the simplest aspect of REAL draggers and their thin, over the boot leathers. Having the leathers on the outside of the boots allows the the legs to move freely up and down inside the leathers. IF the pants are tucked in the boots, the pants are essentially locked to the riders legs therfore they have to move the leathers WITH their legs whichs slows down the process of getting your feet on the pegs.. WHen you are talking about guys that 60' low 1.40, every little bit helps. Also, ,they wear the thin, lightweight drag shoes because they are much easier to squeeze in the pegs, better shifter feel and better, more flexible footing on the line. Don't you see all the pros draggin their feet off the line, the wheelie bar effect, its hard to do it road race boots that have NO flex. Cant tuck leather pants in those little simpson shoes. I for one wear a 2 piece suit with pants outside the boots(Alpine SMX) but thats just because I use my leathers for the street and at the strip. If I had money just for a set of strip leathers, I would have BATES also. They are VERY light, easy to move in, thats why all the pros have em but$$$$$$$$$$$$
