1st time to track with 1361 - Team Fat Ass rides again!
1st time out on my "new" bike (instant Green, Houston):
R/T 60' 330' 1/8 1/8 mph 1000' 1/4 1/4 mph comments
0.541 1.720 4.208 6.239 121.78 8.000 9.500 149.95 1st run w/1361!!!!!! WOO-HOO, 9.500!!!, 10.2 pill
0.619 1.612 4.174 6.221 120.69 7.992 9.512 147.49 shifted into 6th, 10.8 pill
0.663 1.761 4.256 6.284 121.53 8.042 9.538 150.00 r wheel hit pan, skinned wires of ECU, no 4th pass; 10.8pill
As you can see, I didn't touch the potential of the 1361, rather I was getting used a completely new routine of getting out of the hole. No more snap & slide the clutch, rather snap and pin the fukker.
This will take a bit of practice, but I can see the possibility of mid 9.2's, 151-2mph in my future.
While in the staging lines for 4th pass, I checked under my tail section to see if the tire had been rubbing : Yikes! The tire had worn thru the pan and had hit the ECU, skinning 5-6 wires to bare copper. Needless to say, i rolled the bike onto the trailer. It was running well just before checking it so I don't think I shorted anything out.
Getting used to the rythym of 5 gears (17/50) rather than 4 will also take some time, but I like it.
For a charter member of Team Fat Ass (tipped scales at 765) I am pleased with the initial results.

That's excellent work entropy- your bike must be making over 200hp to get going that fast- if you keep practicing, the bike is capable of a 9.10 - with you on it!
Careful- dragracing is highly addictive, and can drain your bank acct like a coke habit- only less chicks will want to be involved

2 different dynos say my bike is making 193 max, but I ain't pissing and moaning, it'll take me a while to put it to use effectively. And I have no worries whatever about my bank acccount, it has been empty ever since I started bringing my bike to the 1/4

gearing/limiter/1361
I think his issue is MPH with that combo, Mike. Where you are taching is about right given the MPH, but he's at or above 150 traps, which would be tough to ride out in 4th with that particular gearing selection.
With my 17(-1)/46(stock) combo I trapped 149.66. When I bumped that to 17(-1)/48(+2) it bounced the limited a few feet before the line. Close enough that I was able to wind it through but any more and it would have probably been better to step up and take 5th gear.

the 1st pass I had the shift lite at 10.2 because I wanted to assure no wheelspin on the 1-2. The other 2 runs had a 10.8 pill.
with 17/50 I figure the rpm drop between upper gears is about 1000rpm. Since the hp "peak" is so broad, if I shift at 10.8 I keep over 190 hp before and after the shift.
On the 2nd run, I instinctively shifted when the light came on in 5th rather than riding it out, that gave the lower mph.
The main reason I am trying 5 gears rather than 4 is the clutch life. I'm hoping that stout gearing will allow me to completely dump the clutch almost off the line, This is the THEORY, eh?
My problem at the moment is repairing the wires to the ECU and cutting enough off the pan under the trunk so that the tire doesn;t hit. This means remounting the ECU and the PS3, after fabbing up a plate. Good job for Sat.

the 1361 has the same redline as the stocker, and barely drops off peak hp at redline. I will send you my map.
