We are going to do the 1320 on my buddys zx12, stock stroke, but it will have a ported head.....
Im putting the 1464 on my busa with a stock stroke, but it will have ported head and cams....I expect around 225 rwhp with the bus. Hopefully we can get 215 out of the 12 with stock cams.... I know it can be done, Bob is getting 208-212 with 1290s.....

Berg...
That's what we are doing here...stock stroke, with cams, "mild" head work, lightened-balanced-polished crank, no-balancer...
Just talked to Muzzys...STILL not shipped out
BluePrinting bottom end right now...

Mines out getting bottom end done today also(lightened, balanced).Head just cam back with ports cleaned up and the head dude said the stock castings were shit and i should really notice a improvement. Also just got my mtc turbo/nitrous pistons(stock bore still).I'm wanting to still go turbo later so all i need to do is add the spacer plate to bring c/r down to about 9:1 and bolt the turbo on.

I'm really interested to see what that lays down Kev because I'm considering doing the same, moving my Lee's head over to a stock bottom end and putting a billet block in between with big cam from Ryan. I'm not too concerned about N/A numbers I want to put coated nitrous pistons in it and go with a custom wet nitrous system.

not right now. I already have a bad ass set of pistons, and all I need is to buy a schnitz box and a sidewinder. If I want to go turbo right now, I have to have some more fabrication work done. I still plan on doing it, just not right now....I really want to see the 12 run soon

Friend of mine (back home) was going to build a FI turbo 1100 (1400cc) ZUKI...the motor was build (WITH turbo pistons) and in the bike...we were sitting talking about how much work it was going to be fab-ing everything for the turbo and he said..."You know what?" I want to race NOW...He Red Labeled a "off the shelf" NO2 kit from Schnitz and...we were running the bike THAT weekend
TURBO piston GS1100 (1427), car-tire, SLIDER Clutch...wouldn't get out of it's own way on motor only (9.30s @ 140)...with NO2 (Street Kit/SMALL jets)... 8-freekin OOOs!!! @ 156+
QUICK n EASY (in more ways than one)...
ANYWAY...Muzzys is supposed to ship us the BigBlock today...It might be as long as 2-weeks before the bike is running...I have ALL NEW bearings on order and need to Plasti-gauge everything again when they get here (delay would be RE-ordering more bearings if I'm not "happy" with my clearances first time around...
I haven't started a thread on this but...the bearings in THIS motor had "very noticable wear"...I was told that this bike might be "THEE first ZX12 ever sold in Jacksonville"...my point being...it had lots of miles on it...
Because of the wear on the bearings...I can't be SURE that my first clearance check (with the old bearings) was good enough for me to have ordered all bearings the "proper size"...

Keep us updated Kevin....I want to hear about the the big block and what it does. WRite up how YOU LIKE IT Feedback is the best part about this stuff. IT only makes the itch worse when someone tells you how much they LOVE their new found horsepower and how it runs

Driving me CRAZY that I haven't had the chance to ride the 1361 I built since he picked it up last...I put less than 5-miles on it (off the dyno anyway)
"He has a 03 ZRX 12 with a turbo now also!!! I KNOW I'll get to ride that one soon...since it's being a bitch to jet the carbs...184hp and 124 torq...SO FAR...running RICH
