ZRX gets raked and rebuilt

After almost 4 months she's back together. I let her run lean last Nov on a ride and burnt 3 pistons down to the rings. Since it was apart I talked myself into raking the frame 6*. Dave at D&G Chassie in Clearwater did the frame work. Now I can drop it to the ground! Frame then got powder coated. Installed a set of clip-on bars so I had to relocate the guages and fairing. Still not happy the way the fairing sits. Going to redo the bracket again to tilt it down some more. I sent my head up to Jim at Comp CNC for his Stage II porting. I had 13.5:1 pistons in the bike but opped to go back together with 12.5's this time. Head is milled so my true CR is 13:1.

Looks badazz Ted, love it. It must be the fastest all motor ZRX anywhere?

You shooting for 8s with the new head?

Trying. With our local 1/8 mile track shut down now, I'm not going to get near the seat time I wanted to. If I can get a mid 1.30 60', this thing will go 8's. My main reason for the frame work. The head work was just another step forward on a maxed out build. LOL Only main increase I have left is to go with a big set of WEB cams. They have 2 grinds that are bigger than my Yosh cams. I don't know of an all motor, no bar ZRX that has gone 8's.? HP should be just a tad better than a piped gen 1 ZX14 now. 185 to 190 range.

Thanks! It better for all the money I have into it. LOL Took it for another little run tonight to dial in the carbs. It f'n rips! I don't need a dyno to tell its making more power than before. And I fixed the fairing. It looks much better now.

That bike looks great, one of my favorite ZRXs of all time! Can't wait until you get some track time, I am sure you will see those 8 second time slips!

If I can't get it to do 8's I'll just throw smokin on it. He should be able to get some 8.80's out of it.

63 SS Impala. 350, 4speed, 3:36 posi. Its a driver, not a looker. May be a month before I can get to a track with Sunshine Speedway currently shut down. I guess the new owner is going to reopen, but the old owner tore up EVERYTHING on his way out! Bulldozed over everything!! Bradenton doesn't have much for TNT until April. I will be going to the Orlando Bike Bash on March 25th. Hope I can get a few shake down runs before then. I also want to make it up to the Manufactures Cup.
