Who sells the picks for taking out the clutch plates besides schnitz?

made mine from copper wire. usually lots around construction sites. leave the insulation on half of it for a better grip

Schnitz has these, they are expensive but handy as hell because they have magnets on the back sides. Makes getting the steels out super easy.

McMaster-Carr magnetic handle (http://www.mcmaster.com/#7388A35, $2.60) with replaceable tips ($1.50 each) on page 2732. That's a lot better than $30...

I've made some complicated dial indicator probes out of welding rod before, so I hear you on the clothes hanger thing. However, I'm kind of a pick junkie. I have a set just for clutch service, a set for electrical connector service, a set for cylinder head service and a set for everything else. Kinda like separating meat and dairy. Damn OCD.
