1441 vs 1340. Why and I'm I not surprised the new 14 beat the Busa. I would be surprised if it didn't though. lol

Pretty funny Kinda like the ol' days with the 1299 busa against the 1199 ZX12.

"everyone" knew there was no way that little motor bike was going to beat the busa, right?

Tables turned in this case though, and we all know that the 14 is gonna stomp Ass.

Probly makes the busa boys a little sad

Smokin,

It's not that I feel or think, it's what you are showing.... As I mentioned to you before you are a leader on this forum, you denied that; however when Brock posted his comments... you did exactly what he wanted... I mentioned the situation about Brock and new bikes, then he posted nearly everything I said in his message to the forum.

I don't care if members on this forum agree with me or not.... I have posted how I see it, and nearly everything I have suggested is coming true.....

I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion and reqardless of what is said, we can not go after their character.... INTEGRITY is important to me as well as Rg & Brock aswell... Neither one of us will post an honest LIE.... (check your messages)

JTR Inc

JTR I dont think anyone is insulting Rickey or calling him a liar, just like Smokin I love the video's and info Rickey has put out there and think Rickey is a great guy..........that said I want verifiable facts and specific numbers from MANY sources.............Rickey says he "thinks" the horsepower is underated from the factory and I would tend to agree as does Smokin from what he has posted that all those changes SHOULD yield at least 20 horsepower...........I "think" Rickey is probably right that the horsepower is underated and this bike is the real deal.

Trouble is I dont want to "speculate" or "think" this bike is what I'm looking for I want to "KNOW" its what I'm looking for and to really know I need specific numbers such as same day dynos against Gen 1 ZX14's and Gen 2 Busa's and same day dragraces with Gen 1 Zx 14's and Gen 2 Busa's with many different riders preferably ones from this Forum who are skilled, consistent and who are not affiliated with Kawasaki. I get the feeling this bike is gonna be a beast just like Rickey says............I dont think they could think of pricing it at $15K in this economy if it didnt deliver but I have consistently stated for the last 2 years that it would take at least 20 extra horsepower to get me to buy a new bike and I'm NOT gonna pony up 14K-15K until I KNOW not THINK its what i'm looking for............10 RWHP just wont cut it for me, Kawasaki could EASILY build a 1441 that produces 40 extra horsepower reliably so 20 extra RWHP isnt too much to ask for a 15K bike, any less just says Kawasaki is trying to nickle and dime us with small incremental refinements rather that bold bar raising leaps and real innovation.

I just dont think its that outrageous to want real verifiable facts and specific numbers rather than speculation and conjecture before buying a 15K bike.
I agree, but its not kawi's style to allow any dyno numbers out before the bikes are in the publics hands.......the way they shut down the pre-release net info on the 2011 10R was unbelievable If you really want the hard numbers you'll probably have to wait till the bikes are in customers hands, or buy now and hope for the best

What gets me with this more cc’s for horsepower crap is both Kawasaki and Suzuki should be able to get more power out of the engines they have. Where’s the R&D for the big bikes? The companies are able to get dang near 200hp out of their liter bikes at 999cc’s and with the big bikes they need big block engines to do it. lol

i know it made me think when the 2007 gsxr1000 had with in 12hp of my 12 and is 100lb less weight. all i can say is i would of hoped that the 14 would of made more power with the torque.

It looks like they deliberatly soften the top end on the Busa and14 to prevent mahem on the streets with the kind of power a high rpm tuned big motor could produce. They're giving us a little more lots of torque. Think of the current 14 which in totally stock form power tapers off by 10k. With a stronger bottom end a little here and there, bigger T/Bs hotter cams more compression 12K redline probably what at least 25 more horses. Too big of a leap back in 06. I think the liter power got out of control more than they want to make with so many companies competing like Ducati BMW Aprilia Kaw Suz. Myself i'll still take a big torque bike anyday just let out the clutch twist and go while the liters wait and wheelie.

If the new ZX14R made the exact same hp as the last model I could care less...Folks getting worked up over peak numbers are missing the biggest thing than the peak number and that biggest thing is what's happening over the entire RPM range..4 mm of stroke will make the bike feel quite a bit different when twisting the throttle..That's the fun of big cc bikes, being able to have big thrust in any gear any rpm and being able to access that thrust without ever going over the speed limit for those concerned about that...

I would like to see a poll who would sell their current zx14 to buy a $14,000 2012 that had the same hp as a gen one 14.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

We all want to see a real world Dyno comparison from the 2011 to the 2012. My bike is ordered but I still want to see a no BS Dyno from an independent shop who is not a sponsor or affiliated with Kawasaki in any way. No offense to anyone, but most of the time the manufacturers inflate the numbers... I hope it is not true in this case or more than advertised.

HI RICKEY

THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT JOB YOU ARE DOING IN PROMOTING THE NEW ZX 14R .
IT IS VERY HARD TO SHOW ANYONE HOW FAST YOU CAN GO ON THE NEW BIKE.AND
HAVE THEM BELIEVE IT WHEN I WAS WORKING & RACING FOR KAWASAKI MOTORS CORP USA .FROM
1969 --1976 I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME & KAWASAKI WITH THE H 1 500cc TRIPLE .
EVEN THE M/C PRESS DID NOT BELIEVE THAT THE H - 1 COULD RUN 7 MPH FASTER & HALF A SEC. QUICKER THEN THE M/C OF THAT TIME. THE 1st AHRA WORLD RECORD I SET AT LOINS DRAG STRIP IN CAL.ON 6/22/1969 AT 12.61 ET & 111.38 MPH THIS DID NOT SIT TO GOOD WITH THE M/C MAGAZINE PRESS. THE M/C MAGAZINE..TEST RIDERS YOU SEE HAD NEVER RUN BETTER THEN LOW 13 SEC . & JUST OVER 100 MPH .SO KAWASAKI ASKED THEM TO BEEN OUT A NEW H -1 STILL IN THE CRATE. TO LOINS DRAG STRIP . ON THE 1 st PASS I RAN 12 .96 ET & 101 MPH WITH ONLY 1 MILE ON THE ENGINE . BY THE END OF THE DAY I HAD 7 MILES ON THE H - 1 AND I TURN 12. 70 ET & 107 MPH TO WIN THE STOCK CLASS . IN THE VERY SHORT TIME YOU WILL BE TURNING LOW 8 SEC. AT OVER 160 MPH. ON THE STREET RIDEABLE ZX 14R WITH NO ENGINE WORK THAT WILL MAKE OVER 250 HP. NOT BAD FOR GOING FROM A WELL TUNE ZX 14R WITH 218 HP SHOW ROOM STOCK TONY NICOSIA ( THE DRASG - ON -FLY )

Thanks Tony, and yes it is a hard job, because now my credibility is at stake just for trying to report my findings and give people as much advance info as possible!

It's crazy how some people basically say.......I cant trust you cause they probably gave you a 300 thousand dollar 1 off bike..........lol

I ride the same stuff they ride.
If I allow Kawi or anyone else to ruin my credibility ......thge........what value am I to them???

I thought this was already put to rest.....or was it...
-if someone posted a dyno chart for the 14R, would anyone believe it?

I think you guys should just buy a bike and live with it.... You don't have to spend 15k, most of you haven't even spent any cash on your current bikes except for an exhaust/USB...

Now here is an opportunity to purchase the badest platform from any (reasonably) priced production motorcycle.

I suggest that you start cleaning up your old bikes and getting them ready to sell. Once this bike is actually released and everyone know how much mid-range to peak power this BEAST produces.... there won't be enough bikes to go around and keep the price at the MSRP...... The economy isn't that bad for the smart investor.... I will take advantage and purchase one..... since I have read the writting on the wall and the intuition god has spoken to me..... I am going to get one.....
