Why do they need to? They only people that believe a gen 2 only makes 160whp is yall. Or that a gen can do a best of a 10.11@142 is right here.

I'll go on record as saying having only owned Kawasakis that I do like the looks of the Busa a better and it's every bit as fast as my bike. To me the difference is the 14 being better on an unfixable item the dual counter balance engine. Also it has awesome brakes and super bright high beams more visibility front and rear because of more lights. All that before the new improvements Now the gap is growing so why settle for second best. Not to mention a stronger company to support parts and future development. Oh and the most Hp/torque pairing of any bike.

What dream?? Most of us don't even drag race.So it's real world info every day..The Gen 2 busa is fast,sleek. I know owned one,had a 1441 kit full system.Fast bike..Loved it...Still going to get a 14R,Why? because its a great bike. No one diputes the records the Busa holds.But someone who loves Motorcycles I could care less what the brand is.If Honda got back into the game I would take a look. Good luck making your point,as you have made no impact on this subject...Cheers

You know you talk about apples to apples, what would bea fair comparison race? I think your fair comparison would be RG (175lb rider) to your pro rider (150lb bullshit 120's from looking at pictures). 2012 14r which is heavier than a gen2 busa. I would say JT against your rider and let JT get used to the 14r and I would be willing to bet a paycheck that your rider will lose. You don't have to be a rocket scientest to figure the differance of when and how much more torque in addition to extra hp that the 14r has that your rider is going to lose, now that is an apple to apple race.
The only reason I am even responding is because when I first got my 12 and was racing against busa owners, they would talk smack they never wanted to hear that the twelve was down 100 cc to their busa's especially when they got beat.
It's alright to be passionate about your belief about busa's but without any real expierance from what I can tell from your own words, about racing motorcycles because you were a car guy and now your trying bikes, you really are kind of talking out of your ass.
You better hope no one can ever put a face to your post at the track, because everyone is going to look at you and say there is that idiot that was posting online, because if your talents can't back up your mouth your gonna be the laughing stock of the track. sir

In many respects, Kaw has been sucking hind tit for 12 years, at best equal here & there.

Dakota nice post, but guys like this irrate me because if he doesn't think this bike something good than fine. But why go onto another forum of the bike you don't like, unless you are just a jerk and like to stir the pot, and from what I understand he doesn't even race his bike in any kind of program.
If he the racer he tries to type he is he could of at least run E.T. thats about consistentcy not how fast you are.

I'll keep feeding him, my exhaust fumes as he is behind my 14r looking for another stage of nitrous. congrats Wheelie on getting to ride yours and do ome stuff with yours already, the company that delivers bike to our dealership,didn't do as he promised which blows because it was in the upper fifties friday could have miles on the new machine, now it's Monday hopefully it's nice out, otherwise time to start wiring and setup for my spray and put my Adam's arm on, just waiting for Brock and dynojet for rest of stuff

They run nice in the cool weather Tom.................you should be very happy stepping up from a ZX 12..................I loved my old Zx 12.............but powerwise the ZX 14R should be a nice step up in torque and power.

The biggest thing I am looking forward to is the clutch, with all the motor and headwork I had done to my 12 I had keep up on my clutch, it will be nice to have one less thing to worry about powerwise my 12 was in the 190's torque is what I am really looking forward too also. I liked the first gen 14 also, but at the time wasn't ready to buy a new bike, but when my turbo busa broke at the last race this year, thats when I decided to step up to something new this bike will allow me to run two classes on one bike (9.50, 8.90 index) on pump gas
Don't get me wrong I had a friggin blast when that boost would come up but 15.00 a gallon gas didn't help a whole lot either. You can gurantee I will be at our local tracks in the spring getting dialed in on my bike.

You are right, for 2 out of 11 years, Kawasaki beat up on a 7 year old gen1 Busa.
AND Kaw apparently induced Suz to come up with the gen2.

I'm still trying to figure out why 03sgbusa is talking shit when with a stock clutch he runs 10.0's and with a rocksolid he goes 9.48 to 9.50's. that clutch takes the riding right out of the picture. But notice he never answerd me when I asked.
