Muzzys lockup clutch
Is the muzzy lockup the same for 2000 thru 2003?I have a buyer but i want to make sure it is the same first

tell him to pull those goofy metal rings and smaller OD fibers out and put all standard fibers in the stack while it's apart.

Why did they use those metal rings and smaller fiber in the first place? Just curious!

I do not know the official answer but I suspect they are intended to help reduce chatter during slippage when engaging and disengaging. I believe Kawasaki received a lot of complaints about chatter but most of those were related to or caused by the lack of proper clutch oiling, another issue that was also addressed. That is just my opinion of course.
Fact is the smaller fibers (and rings) and not necessary, if you race here's what happens to them eventually anyway!
