not a bad way to start the season
went to the strip over the weekend for the first race in the street legal series with good results. the day started out with a few hours of bike prepping and rewiring. the time to head out came up so i went to start the bike and nothing! after keying on and off the bike all day it drained the battery. just about crapped my pants. lucky for me i had my friends battery charger and was able to give it a little boost to get going. went to the track, got teched, and started hanging out waiting for quilifying to start. first call for first round came up and when i went to start the bike, it was dead again! after scrounging around the pits i was able to get a loaner and pulled out the jumper cable to get it hooked up between passes. good thing i had the tool kit in the trunk! made it to the second qualifying pass and spun for about 100' so that qualifier was out the window too. but, i still snagged the #1 rt which got me a bye run for first round eliminations, so at least i would get one qualifying pass. ended up missing the 2-3 shift due to a sticky air cylinder. ended up sticking every pass after that. so now its time for me to line up and i have no qualifying passes. i also had the track get after me saying i could only run a 10.00 or slower since my ihra license hasn't arrived yet. decided to slap that on the bike and roll with it. all three guys i lined up against raced nearly every event last year whereas i hit up maybe 4. was still able to catch up and stay just ahead the first two, then the last round i ran a 10.03 on a 10.00 and the other guy broke out. definitely had to work for that one!

my friday night win was a lot of fun also. less bike drama though lol.
i took out the guy that wins a lot the first pass when he broke out. but my .015 light would of been a very good package. next run was a .015 also and it got me a by run which was my ticket to the finnals. i went by the ex500 at 147mph and he bulbed with a -.001 and broke out anyway. he got 65 i got 125 bucks. this may be a fun summer.
way to go almost_les zx12s rule.

thanks guys!
the first two runs were just getting ahead and working the gas to stay there. the first one we both trapped within .02mph of eachother. the second run was against a 600 and i trapped at 117mph on a 10.15, we were both sleeping at the tree, but i woke up first. .131 rt vs .311 rt. the final run (10.03 on a 10.00 dial) was all out. launching at 6000 and running premium instead of regular slowed it down, along with missing 3rd gear. damn cylinder was even sticking on the way home footshifting. new one already ordered
