Note, the 8000' runways run 130 degrees or 310 degrees from north on the compass.
I'm all for 310 (southeast to northwest) Can you say "tailwind"?

It looks as if the track could easily be oriented to run with the prevailing SE wind;
After 8 years of routinely battling that damn wind, it would be great to get assistance.
Google satellite doesn't have an ultra clear pic, but it seems like there is paved runout?

Wouldn't that be awesome...to go from having the toughest conditions in 1-mile racing to having the most favorable ones!!

Yep, it would sell out even faster....................but get ready for tougher rules and regs. At least a significant more for the car guys. It may actually decrease the number of cars running in the future. There will probably be speed licensing reguired like Maxton: 125, 150, 175, 200 for both cars and bikes then 225, 250,..............for bikes. Don't worry if your an old timer. It will be a whole lot of fun, got to get my turbo rolling soon. May in Texas is Hot!
