Well I got engaged this weekend
Well Just wanted to let everyone know that I got engaged this weekend! we went to chicago and did the whole deal carrage ride and all. she was suprised but also had a hunch. she is a great gal and Im lucky, to many other people would be standing in line if I let her get away.

Way to go Mike!! She gets an A+ approval from me, too!! I know I can't take my wife on a long trip and have her sit around and cheer me on. Cool to have a new Mad Mike crew member in the works.

Madmike - hope the two of you all the best.
As a recently married person, I am going to give you some advice - even IF you didn't ask for it!
1) getting married changes EVERYTHING... so, be open to change.
2) try to keep it simple... and start on that path WITH the wedding, our wedding cost close to nothing - it didn't come out of ANY magazine... it was ours.
3) Do Not rush into having kids. Once you have kids, you and your wife will NEVER be alone together again.
4) have fun!!!
Hey, life's a great ride and I'm glad you found someone who's willing to sit next to you, through all the up's + downs - may you find both thrilling!
