cylinder leakdown tester
I told my wife, for Christmas, I want a leakdown tester. What should I look for in them? I was looking at click here because it had two hoses and would fit outside the zx12r's frame. Are they pretty much the same in quality or are there big differences?

make sure you have the adapter for your size spark plug. I have the jegs brand one and it works great

I agree. I use the hose from my compression tester (without the valve core)

LOL My brother's Matco compression tester has those adapters and every time I use it, I have to tighten the adapter on with channel locks. It buggers up the hose piece a bit,but better than losing it down the spark plug hole.

Has anyone had issues with the hose not being long enough on a 12 bike?

I use the harbor freight leak-down with adapter.
It does the job of identifing the problem.
You might need to know if your engine is leaking 3% or 6% i don't.
Everytime i had a problem it was over 20 percent leakage. would not matter if guages said 20 or 48 percent, i found the problem.
yeap i'm cheap.

You can change the guages to any quality you need,

I ended up going with this even though it has the adapters.

Most either have the adapters or won't have the 10mm hose fitting.
I looked at those harbor freight and there were a few bad reviews so I decided to stay away from them.I have always had good experiences with OTC products.

when that happened to me, i was "lucky" enough to have it happen on #4
i forget how i got it out, but it took more than 1 hr and mojo amounts of swearing.
I think my wife heard enough of my cussing and prayed:
"dear lord, help him get that fukken thing out, i'm tired of his bad language"

I'm gonna build a 2nd Busa, this time a junkyard dog for Bonneville.
