So I made a few passes
i tried wearing sweat pants under the leather to make it easy to undress but that didn't work.I could not even lift my right leg. The first pass was brutal as I couldn't get my leg on the peg and got off line. The second pass I tried with my leg on the peg but went slower and it sounded like my chain was skipping. I didn't want to make another pass fearing that it would blow up but did so anyways. The last pass was the fastest without me raising my legs until after the line.
So far, I have about twenty starts on the secondary battery without a recharge.

I'm thinking I may need to go on the tread mill with the leathers on to get use to the weight.

Under Armour.
Leathers slip on like a dream, light, breath, stretchy. Gives you a cool feel when your sweaty.

LOL, where they hide the bikes I just sat there in my boxers. I'm more concerned about being able to get my leg up on the peg.

I stopped doing my exercises about three months after my surgery( two total hip replacements). I don't have a problem climbing stairs but this maybe a different muscle.Internally I am all scarred up. When I first started coming to this site, I remember asking if anyone does exercises to help with their riding. I guess it is coming back to haunt me now.

Pete your a tall guy, all you big guys have the same problem...
When you leave with your foot on the peg, the bike is leaning to the side, not good for a aggressive launch...
You'll have plenty of time to get your left leg up before you have to shift, you shouldnt be holding onto the clutch past the 60'...

I went again and now need another pair of boots.lol I melted the zipper holding my foot. Three more passes before I noticed the puddle under the bike. At least I am starting to get aggressive on the line.
i was spinning the tire around the 60 ft mark.

I am running a shinko ultra soft at 21 lbs. It has never spun before. I finally laid down on the tank and really opened the throttle on the start. Good thing my shifter was working.

It is quite hard to get those feet up for the 1-2 for us tall guys. It's consistency that suffers, and I find my thoughts consumed with that at the line. One foot up is starting to work for me, although there have been way too many months between dragstrip days. It is a weird feeling with the bike tilted just a bit, and you feel yourself being "twisted" while you are staged. I love to watch youtube videos of Andrew Patterson launching...gets me in the right frame of mind. Of course, the easy answer is an airshifter. I'm told that everytime I'm at the track, but I'm stubborn I suppose.

The only other thing is the get an air shifter and don`t worry about pulling your feet up so fast....
For me with a partially fused left ankle it`s a must.... And since I`ve been going around in circle with this last so called motor builder and now starting all over with Sal, it`s been so long since I`ve had my leathers on I believe I`ve gained 15 lbs so hopefully I will be able to fit in them again once Sal calls me to say come pick up your bike....

Nope K, not gonna make it. This month I'm doing well to get a group ride in with my Sportbike group, my night at the dragstrip, and a road track day on the 17th. Lots O things going on, but I was just telling the wife last night that we needed to get back out there and watch some TFA action. I need to get in touch with "the cheese" as well. 9secJ said she heard he had some bad luck at his shop. Ya'll be careful out there.
