Congrats to the team, that's one aerodynamically clean bike. I'd like to see what the drag coefficient is on that bike!!

I've got a sprained ankle and am gimping around home but it is one of the best days of my life. Mark DeLuca made his return run this morning on the Guppy. 254.6 MPH for a new record of 252 mph. First bike to set a record over 250 N/A. Not without drama as a chunked front slick was discovered on the starting line. Osti to the rescue as he loaned the team a wheel/tire which was installed in minutes (no brakes). Mark kept his cool and the rest is history. Steve Knecum built the engine and tuned it (Bazzaz). As Shane will attest if you need quality work in the Philly area Steve is opening his own shop. Man what a day, sure is fun when it works. LSL

Thanks Doug. Conditions were excellent. Good Salt, Calm and Cool. Based on the altitude I would say we got about one mph/HP , however I think the ram air is pretty efficient. Used ERC 110 fuel. LSL

What an amazing accomplishment!!! A huge congrats go out to Larry, Mark, and Steve. You guys truely are in a league all of your own. Mark gets an AA license on a NA bike. I still have a hard time getting my brain around that.

I'm glad I was there to see it first hand. Fred and I had the best seat in the house. On the return road at the 4.

Here comes Mark. Bike sounds like it is running hard. I'm listening to the tower on the CB for speeds. What do I hear? 254mph at the 4!!!! I got goose bumps when he went by. Seriously.

Larry is being a bit modest(as usual). The conditions were good. However, the DA was almost 6000 feet. That's the thing a lot of people don't realize. Good air at Bonneville still sucks compared to Maxton, Loring, Texas, Miami, Mojave, etc. You add that to the fact that you are traction limited too and you start to see how amazing this really is.

You take ANY naturally aspirated bike to Bonneville and you lose about 15-20% of your HP before you even wheel it off the trailer.

Again, I want to say great job guys. Glad I was there to witness history.
