replacing valve seals?

never done it before, any special tips/ tools needed? any help would be much appreciated!

i got a buddy with an rc51 and he wants a top end rebuild so we'll be doing valve seals, shims, and lapping everything

needle nosed pliers or a clutch pick
to install, oil them, and stick them on a valve, put the valve in upside down(the bucket side), then slide the seal onto the guide. very easy with the head stripped

personally, i wouldn't lap the valves, i'd have the seats cut on a machine made to do it.
Unless of course he is needing to do the least expensive job possible.
