clip vs rivet link
im doing a chain on my buddies bike and it came with a clip style master link. my question is can these still be riveted, or do we need to buy a rivet style master link. thanks in advance!

yes, just go buy the same brand swedge type master. They are about 6 bucks.

sorry, I didn't actually answer the question. No, you cannot swedge the clip type, as they are not prepped for it when they are made.
