Art taught me how to ride his XL70 in the Maine woods in 1977. We will drive through our old town on the way back from Popham Beach.

Todd and Deb Dross and Josh Owen want to attend as well. I'll know after Maxton.

I'm still trying to talk Ryan into staying 1 more night

Several others have expressed interest......

hey Doug!!!

You fly airplanes, yes?

Loring is an air strip, what could be simpler?

The strip is so long you could land at the big end and maybe no one would notice.

I am sooooooooooooo ready for this trip. I sure do hope that Todd and Deb and Josh make it for the lobster. Last year was unbelievable, especially the walk in the woods to the old fort. People.......let me tell you..............it is worth whatever you have to do............fun like this does not come around that often and life is too short to pass up oppurtunities like this. Responsibilities be damned, I wouldnt miss it for anything! Can't wait to see Jim and Jamie again!

My brother can't make it, rrr. But my flight is booked, car reserved, so I am good to go.

Now I just need to get the engine in the chassis & tuned, and drop it off at Twin Jugs next weekend. Thanks to Todd for transporting the bike up there, makes this a much simpler process.

Looking forward to going fast and swilling chowda, steamahs & lobsta!

Hey gang! Just got a PM on another board from a fellow Maxton racer with an '08 Busa. (yeah I know, grumble grumble its not a Kawi) At any rate, he lost his ride to Loring & is looking for a hook up for him & his bike. He's looking for someone running through Roanoke, VA up I-81 and said he can even make it over to Richmond, VA for a hook up.

Just thought I'd throw that out there if anyone's got room or maybe looking to share costs. LMK & I'll hook you up privately via phone or email. I told him to post up on lr.com as well.

Looking forward to seeing y'all soon! Now if I can figure out how to fit 6 weeks worth of stuff into the 2 weeks we have left I'll be doing great! LOL

Debbie

all my best,. guys!
hopefully my shop will be open the first quarter of 20011 and i will make it next year. that is my goal as it stands. if the shop does what i think it'll do, i will trailer a dyno with me to the track.

ya.. i'm hoping by the first quarter of 2011 i will have my shop going.. within a year if everything goes as planned, i should have a dyno, waterjet, CNC and some manual stuff for in-house parts development.

within a year from that, i hope to have several racebike built of varying caliber and type, and should be invoicing upwards of $400K+ in parts and service.. a realistic goal for the first year.

had i had the bike build and been able to go, i'm not really sure how far on a competitive level i'd be being small money/small time.

this way, i have money in the bike instead of trying to figure out which 2 of the "cheap/fast/reliable" i wanna pick!!

figured i'd bring a truck with a bike or 2, welder, air compressor and dyno for everyone to use at the races as well.

BEST of luck to ya man! miss you guys! my plan is to definitely be there next year.
