Nox wins TMRC Race 1

I had the tree, .030 9.499 on 9.50 index

I got beat in the semi final of Race 2, 9.495 to 9.493 (double header event), by the guy I beat in the final of Race 1, Jr. Chambers, but, he won Race 2, and I tune the clutch on his bike......

Thanks......, been decent for me so far this year.

Lost to the event winner at the first PMRA event in the semi's this year, so two semis, and a win, and both semi losses were to the event winner.......

ol baxter made it to the pmra final, he was on the opposite side of the ladder from me.

The only zuke cutting lights and doing any good in the super street class, I tune the clutch on.........., other than that its all kaws.........,

Well, I think I can speak for Baxter and Dr. Joe, as well as Joe Bird.

We believe in total world domination.

No bike brand other than a Kaw ever saw a Super Street Final last year at PMRA, and the only zuk to see a final at the Tulsa TMRC series, I tune the clutch on.......lol

Was King Bill down there?

That being said, when you watch that vid, don't listen to the clutch, that is my bike running a tenth off in 60 ft, because of the index class..........

I will post a good run with it later, and I have some new experimental (as in I am the only one with them), springs for the Hays. Might try them at pmra.

Mathews, are you coming up for the double header?

Yeah, we see a lot of those double o's

I would think 8.90 would be no prob with some decent air, when you get the tune up right.

The final of race two at TMRC was .014 to .015......

I forgot what the other lane had against me in race one.......

Come say hi if you make it........., find the AMSOIL flag, we will be under it.

no, I do not change the clutch, that was a horsepower drop......, it takes longer to drive to the top of first gear. My air gap never changes........., I have two full seasons on these fibers.

I only use 5 gears in the Super Street class. With my good map, it uses all 6. my gearing is -2, +4 or -2 +5 , I think that was a 1.44 short time......, but 6.0 in the 1/8 I take about 4 tenths total out of the bike.

Pun from Crotch Rocket soon to follow

BTW, bike in the other lane has a gen 1 lock up, and he does not eat fibers as well..., this is his second season on his clutch.

"Seasons" on a clutch is not the issue...1/4 mile passes is. I do about 150+ 1/4 mile passes per season in the 1/4. How many do you do, Nox??

Of course, with hill climbing wheelbase and gear...you are going to get a LOT more passes out of a set of fibers than most. Especially with all the cool down and prep you do.

I had over 300 on my last set of fibers........

I probably get in maybe 100 passes a year now.......

I have always told you guys, hot lapping on a tnt night will fry your clutch, and you learn nothing.........

No reason to waste money for one extra pass, that aint gonna be right anyway.......

it all depends on how serious you wanna be.

Cant say one doesnt learn from hot lapping, I learn plenty...

True Nox, on how serious do you wanna be!!!

Its hard competing in Pro-ET on a Street-ET bike, but I find it a big challenge which only helps make me a better bracket racer...

Lots of variables.......

I used to do the two classes in one day stuff........., just really got tired of slowing the bike down to keep from red lighting on the sportsman tree, and really like index racing better, as you gotta tune on it more. It fits me well. I still have to slow the dang thing down a touch to keep out of the red on the pro tree at times....., but, new tuning has almost fixed that.

My buddy that I help on his lock up, had three .001 lights in Super Gas at that event........., that is freaking unheard of........., and playing with fire. Once I fould out what is causing it, I am tuning that out of it.

Good luck to all this year.

I hear ya Nox...

I guess you gettin tired of making the changes in your riding style & the different things you need to do for each Class, Tree, & when the bike & clutch heat up...

The way you tune the bike mechanically produces more consistant results to keep up with the competition, thats for sure!!!

Exactly.

Most of your pro classes do the same........

You ever see seb or any of those guys fighting thier bikes.......? No. They tune the chassis and clutch, and everything else, to go down the track with them sitting on it.

Real Street, and classes like that, is a different story..........

As far as the clutch heating up........, well, thats why God created fans, and generators.
