No slight to Wayne, but if I was starting fresh and going all-out, I'd go TURBO .

Turbo WITHOUT NO2 would be PLENTY GOOD IMHO...

If you want to run NO2 (no turbo)...
Don't bother with the dry-shot...Put a full blown wet system on it!!!
A progressive 100+ish shot would be the way to go

turbos????

When I watch the turbo guys run well at 1/4, I see VERY experienced "men at work".

I hope Mr Voz has some serious seat time at the drag track if he opts that route...

Id think the biggest advantage to nitrous on a turbo setup would be getting the turbo to spool quicker

although if the Muzzy Superbike can manage without nitrous and only use a turbo...id say thats good enough for pretty much anyone

I agree with the turbo thing if you can find a reliable one no one seems to have it perfected yet, not saying nos is perfected yet either but I get my stuff free so it is a different story for me.
I made 279 hp on my green bike the one kev rode last year still has stock fuel pump in it, put the power commander in it for gainsville and the sucker let go never again will you see a PC3r in one of my bikes. I have three of them with over 60,000 miles between them the only time I have ever had a problem is with the pc3r mechanical retard or shnitzs new efir box only.
I have my machine shop guy making me 10 over arms now with the arm pressurized for a shifter and bracket for spray hope fully he will give me a price on them soon. Voz email me if you want to go spray I can get you some good deals on stuff including nitrous pistons.

This going to be a shootout type bike or slick and bar bike? If I was building a shootout type bike, I'd go for the sidewinder myself. Next I'd mod the oil pan so you can really put it in the weeds.

I had the bike set up perfectly and then put the pc3r in and played with it on the dyno some more just to see if it made any difference, mostly to try and get away from the mechanical advancer. Everything seemed ok made 280 hp to the tire plugs were good and bike ran amazing. Got to Orlando and went riding almost all night with cowboy there was some electical problem that was taking out fuses and I thought I traced to the fuel pump or the relay. Found a wire slightly unshielded and taped it up seemed like that was the problem, went out again seemed ok. Went to Orlando speedway and first pass at top of 4th gear smoke that was not supposed to be there damn this was a few days before G-ville. I ran the bike all summer without the power commander no trouble this pc3r has been warrantied three times now and replaced once, looks like yosh box may get a chance.
I know on the stock bike with small mods or on the bigbore kits it seems to be fine, I'm close to 300 hp on my bike stock motor and stock fuel pump with no problems. Except when I put the pc on so I know it is not the bike and I have three of them all about the same with a combined milage in excess of 50,000 miles. Now I hear pc has heavier wires on the new one seems like they are always upgradeing it, I know a few guys have it with small nitrous and so far so good but I don't know anyone making 280 on a dry shot but me and like I said flawlessly all summer until the box on three bikes. I will be upgradeing the fuel pump to hit 300 hp and upgrading to nitrous pistons also stock bottom end seems fine bearings etc perfect. MTC lockup looks like it will replace the stock clutch also I'm kinda a slipping the stocker now. Should have it all ready for G-ville March and bike week.

I sure did like the feel of that 280hp.Too bad it didn't last longer.I went from a smile to a frown on less than 1/4 mile!Looks like we going to copy you for another year Wayne.I allready own a yosh box but never needed to put it on running the 2 stage with 34's.We are going to turn it up and when the pistons melt we will have a big block with nos pistons ready!!oh MTC lockup a MUST.

Yeah I know what you mean, I'll likely go with the stronger pump this year also I think 250 hp you are ok but at 280 I think I'm pushing the poor thing. I wish I had a big budget I have ideas that hurt to think about hehe. MTC lockup I agree for the next season also.

And Muzzy told me I needed the pump back in early 2000 when they first the bike with nitrous hmmmm 3 years now and the blue bike that Kev rode is still rockin, and Kev can tell you himself the front tire can float any gear.
Yeah baby........

My PC3R has never failed in any way for 2 years now, and approx. 11k miles. Not that power output should make a difference, but, I do not run nitrous.

Man....I thought I had comitted the ultimate sin today by saying mine worked fine.

Go out to meet up with Gary and his 1361 (kevins shop built) and bike starts sputtering and stalling at highway speeds going over the bridge here in town.....pull into a gas station and scratch my head a bit.

Try to crank the bike...and it wont turn over...FI light just blinks over and over. Cranks...but no start.

So im thinkin...goddam those motherfuckers on that board for makin me say my PC3 has no problems. Call up kevin and steve to see if they have heard of anything like this...they both agree its probably the PC3.

So of course being that I knew I was going to race....I left the toolkit in the garage I have gary go get a allen wrench and a phillips head and start takin the bike apart. Get the PC3 off....hook the harness back up....Bike starts just fine. Problem solved right?

Hop on it...go to accellerate...and it sputters and dies. Ok wtf???

Take it apart again...no clue as to whats wrong now...so we start lookin for loose connections. we start the bike (it idles like a charm) and gary starts tappin on the ECU...sure enough...bike dies instantly. So we figure the connector has a loose wire or somethin...take them off...wiggle around..and plug them back in. Bike starts fine...I putter around the parking lot....all seems good. We hook the PC3 back up....everything STILL good (ok this is just weird now). I try to launch hard to see if I can jar something loose....sure enough..bike dies. Arghhhhhhh.

Steve gives me an idea about the timing sensor going bad...and I begin to think (oh crap...Schnitz EFIR box)...so I go through and look at the connections I soldered together...all look fine...go back up to the box....start wigglin stuff..and I notice the hot wire is a bit loose. Crank the bike up...wiggle the hot wire...bike dies. Viola!! all that freakin work for a single loose connection. Apparently if the EFIR box loses power...bike doesnt like that

So I tape it up...bike runs fine all the way home...I decided to solder it this time instead of using that vampire tap before. Works like a champ.

And after all that...I even won the race (although he did make me just look SICK on motor)

ANywhoo...so yet another thing that is a potential problem that was originally diagnosed as a PC3 issue.
