Those Gen 2 Busa's run pretty strong, stock motor! I've seen other "noobs" run 193-198 mph on them.

Great pics!

Thanks Shane!

I don't know what others have been running on those Gen 2 Busa's, but I will say that this "newcomer" was by no means a "noob". Very talented rider with many years of drag racing experience, and it most definitely shows on the line. He will be at Loring this year, look out for him... very cool, humble guy.

I'm guessing with decent conditions (we had crap this event) and race gas.... he's going to be all over 200mph.

Thanks Dean!

Shinobi will come out to play soon enough, just finishing up a few details and then she's ready for tuning. Should have video and Standing Mile results obtained at our testing facility sometime in the near future.

It won't be anything but a GPS reading, but it's good enough for me... for now. I'd like to bump up the APS/F-1350/4 record...we'll see what happens.

Good to finally meet you Mike, great pictures.

The guy on the orange 'Busa was a blast to watch leaving the line. He'd wheelie in first, click it in second while in the air setting it down in time to flat track thru the curve.....he was a hoot and a great rider.

If anybody ever questioned Sal's ability to build not only a fast bike but a dependable one they should have been there Sunday afternoon, he round-robined that 1507 in the heat like it was a OEM stock bike, really impressive.

Likewise Dan!

Thanks, Chuck takes good pics with that camera of his!

Yeah, that Busa guy (I think his name was John? I'm horrible with names) was moving out like his life depended on it!

My eye's got big like fried eggs when I saw that dude pull the trigger and ride the wheelie through the 1-2 shift... quite the change of pace from the norm in LSR. Experienced Drag racers seem to adapt to LSR quite nicely.

Yeah, Sal builds a pretty stout engine. He's not a fan of hotlapping.... but it's nice to know you can on one of his engines if you need to.

There's no such thing as a 20 min cool down at the 9/10th mile street races, he builds them all on the safe side to be able to handle REAL WORLD situations where engine abuse is often a necessary evil.
